Episode 1: Smith and Jones: A decent episode. Not my favorite, but it has a few good scenes. The setting of a hospital was quite interesting, though I found the idea of a single MRI machine destroying the Earth a little... unconvincing. 7.5/10
Episode 2: The Shakespeare Code: Okay, this episode is actually really good for plot, but CREEPS. Shakespeare was quite enjoyable, and I'm glad they decided to go with a younger version of him, instead of the way he is typically portrayed. 9/10
Episode 3: Gridlock: This episode was good, but not great. I think the Macra were underplayed as not as huge a threat as they were, and the different threats seemed very unrelated. I mean, where did the Macra come from? And what about Bliss? When did it come about? Also, the Face of Boe seemed a little cheesy. 7/10
Episodes 4 & 5: Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks: I don't understand why this episode gets so much hate. I thought it was actually quite good. A human Dalek discovers morality, turning its underlings against it? That doesn't seem so unbelievable and outrageous to me. 8/10
Episode 6: The Lazarus Experiment: A good concept, but a lot of questions were left hanging. Why did Lazarus turn into that- thing? And why does it have the instinct to kill? Wouldn't it still have Lazarus's brain? 8/10
Epsiode 7: 42: It's been a while since a saw this one, but from what I remember, it was very good. I liked the idea of a real-time episode, and I loved the series of doors they had to get through. That was fun. And the sun being alive and controlling people! Rather sinister... 9/10
Episodes 8 & 9: Human Nature/The Family of Blood: I quite love this one. The Doctor having no idea who he really is.
Not to mention I loved his journal. And the threat was very interesting. One question though: How did they control the scarecrows?(This may have been answered, but it's been a while) Anyways, the family's final punishment is very interesting, and certainly shows the Doctor's dark side. 10/10
Episode 10: Blink: Oh, how I love this one. Seriously, who doesn't? This one is, in my opinion, easily one of the best episodes ever, and I'm nearly certain it will make it to the final competition. First of all, the introduction of the Weeping Angels. "Don't turn your back, don't look away, and DON'T BLINK. Good luck." Brilliant villains, they make. The nicest killers in the universe, yet so deadly. And who could forget, one of the Tenth Doctor's best quotes: "People tend to assume that time is a straight progression of cause to effect, but actually, it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey... stuff." And this episode certainly has plenty of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff, which I absolutely love. I love it when Doctor Who utilizes its capability as a time travel show to use time travel to put events just a bit out of order, until they all come together. 10/10
Episode 11: Utopia: This episode was good, but I didn't really feel a sense of threat. It kinda felt like there was no purpose other than to get to "Utopia", which I found a little strange. Although the reveal of the Master was quite awesome. But Jack... >_> Oh, how I hate Jack. And now he's unkillable! URGH 8.5/10
Episodes 12 & 13: The Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords: This was certainly a decent finale. The Master was certainly menacing. One thing though: So he made up Utopia, then somehow turned everyone who came there into evil little black spheres? That seems just a bit... weird. And the poor Doctor. He spent nearly the whole episode as a shriveled little thingy.
And when he came back... Ugh, don't get me started. 8/10
