The Odyssey Tattler
You people have no idea how brilliant I was. Outsold the Odyssey Times 3 to 1 we did. Back in the days when the mere mention of my name struck fear into the hearts of members.
Don't believe me? Have no idea what ol' Scribbler is talking about?
Do yourself a favor and read.

I moved this to the Steps as it is a direct discussion of something on the ToO.
With that said, I really have enjoyed reading back issues as part of the Ill-Gotten Deed contest.

It's been awhile, hasn't it?

Oh course you have, it's the Tattler. Unlike our, ahem, competition, the work of myself and my staff hold up remarkably well over time. The quality speaks for itself.Monty wrote:I really have enjoyed reading back issues as part of the Il-Gotten Deed contest.

The thought hadn't occurred to me, but perhaps I could reassemble my fine writing staff.Monty wrote:Are you considering a revival of this fine piece of literature?
A Tattler revival....It does have a certain ring to it, does it not?
But I'm still left with one major factor; Why fix something when it isn't broken? The Tattler's golden age (AKA when I ran the joint) is a towering golden tower, raining down glitter and truth upon the masses. How could I possibly recapture the magic?

By George....I think I could. I think it can be done.Monty wrote:With a net. If you run fast enough, surely you can capture it.
Shall I heed this literary calling?
I say now, I shant return to the printing presses unless the people demand it. I won't waste my precious time if the masses don't cry out for my voice of calm and clarity in the sea of confusion that is the Town of Odyssey.

I don't feel confused...maybe the confusion arises from a lack of knowledge of our confusion. Therefore, if you persist in attempting to enlighten us, we will realize our confusion and perhaps even become more confused...

Do you want a job? That was brilliantly worded.Monty wrote:I don't feel confused...maybe the confusion arises from a lack of knowledge of our confusion. Therefore, if you persist in attempting to enlighten us, we will realize our confusion and perhaps even become more confused...

I'm sorry, did you think I was serious? Oh, ha aha, no no no. Heh! Good heavens, I would never hire you sir! No, it's out of the question. I'm sorry, I should let you know when I'm being sarcastic. No, I'm afraid my natural wit and sarcasm is somehow lost in translation.
