Sports Discussion The Good The Bad And The C'mon Man!

Formerly Baseball Discussion: Latest Headlines.

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

I cheer for
NBA: OKC Thunder
NFL: SF 49ers
NHL: Edmonton Oilers
MLB: Toronto Blue Jays
MLS: Vancouver Whitecaps
CFL (Canadian): Edmonton Eskimos/Hamilton Tiger-Cats
NLL (Lacrosse) : Edmonton Rush
MLL (Lacrosse) : Hamilton Nationals

I don't follow much NFL though as in Canada we have a different rule type game: CFL with only 8 teams (9 next year) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Football_League

For all you CFL watchers what's your opinion on Marc Trestman? Is he any good?
To LGBT ToOers: The world is so much wider than your family and church. There are accepting people out there.

He lead the Montreal Alouettes to three straight cups in 2008,2009,2010 winning in 2009, and 2010. In 2011 they lost in the east semi final, and in 2010 they lost in the east final. He is one of the reasons they have had success (along with Anthony Calvillo the 43 year old quarterback), so I think he will be a good head coach for Chicago.

By the way Montreal is 1-3 to start this season and I think because their new coach is not good at coaching both the American and Canadian games.

If any Americans want to see some CFL action here is the Americans broadcast schedule: http://www.cfl.ca/page/us-broadcast-schedule

If you have those channels. I watch most games because the league is small, and there is never more than one game on a time.

Okay I like sharing facts, it's a hobby. :)

The smallest CFL stadium is 15,000 (next year 24,000), and the largest is 60,000. Montreal also plays playoff games at a 66,000 seat stadium.

One more thing the CFL used to be played in the USA : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFL_USA

That's all for now, lol long post

My favorite teams are...

College (both football and basketball): University of Cincinnati (hence the signature)
NFL: Indianapolis Colts
NBA: Chicago Bulls
MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Don't have a lot of teams but I follow them a lot. I am a big sports nut.

I live in Canada and I think we get CBS and online it says CBS covers some games starting in 2013, so maybe I'll be able to watch.

The only sports team near me is a WHL team (junior hockey) a team in a 15,000 seat arena in Saskatoon that averages 5,000 per game.
