I saw it the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mind you, I didn't watch any clips or trailers, so I was amused by every joke. The plot is nothing astounding and I felt a little bored during the middle act, but the beginning and the end were a lot of fun and I fell for all the childish humor. Of course, another round of the Minions was acceptable!
Has anyone else seen this?

My mom, Aeva, and I went. Got weird looks from the ticket person. And... I absolutely adored it. I thought the plot was fantastic, considering it's a children's movie. I have been relentlessly "BAH!"ing like the monsters to my sheer delight and my campers' annoyance... though I must say, I got my sister real good with it the other day. Antonio.... xD Needless to say, I was laughing so hard Aeva was telling me to shut up.
So the end had me about tearing up... brilliant.
And everyone needs to get the app 'Minion Rush'. It's basically Temple Run with Minions and bananas.

I adore the Minions. *huggles Minions* Termite's impersonation has been the source of limitless entertainment.

So, how does everyone feel about Despicable Me 2? I got a 25$ gift certificate for the theaters, from the moms' at the local M.O.P.s I volunteer at (Sorta like a daycare, except the moms' stay there and talk amongst themselves, with their babies, while the "older kids" play downstairs or something) as a thank-you for helping out. So I'm either gonna see this, or Monsters University. Suggestions? Preferences?
I would actually see Monsters U over this. Better plot, better characters, better twists. It has fewer comedic moments, but it's a more heartfelt story than Despicable Me 2. This was a good movie--very funny--but if I were offered the choice to see either one again, I would definitely pick Monsters University.
