The Old Sim Games

Post by Me »

As I look up at my shelf, I am amazed at the amout of old Sim games from Maxis that I own. Here is the list:

Sim City
Sim City Enhanced for gamers
Sim City 2000 special edition (with the two expansions)
Sim City 3000 Unlimited
Sim Ant
Sim Farm
Sim Isle
Sim Safari
Sim Copter
Sim Tower
Streets of Sim City
Sim Theme Park
Sim Coaster
Sim Golf

And I have multiple copies of some of these. Sim Ant was just cool (although I can now beat the whole game in half an hour if I have a mind to).

The only one I actually bought was Sim City for Super Nintendo... could never get half a million, or a million, or whatever it was to get the Mario statue in that version... :(

I played Sim Ant on an emulator... it was pretty fun, though I never was too good at it and gave up eventually. I usually would be more successful taking over a square when I ignored it... when I focused on one I always did bad in it... :(

I have Tower, City2kSE (o_O), Ant, and Life. I think. Not sure on the last one.
"Sonuna" Taranimak ("Sonuna" Sharkquill) has been content lately. She admired own very fine Bed recently. She talked with a parent recently. She talked with a friend recently. She had a good meal recently. She admired a fine tastefully-arranged Desk recently.
She is a citizen of The United States of America. She is a member of The State of Minnesota. She is a member of The Town of Odyssey.
"Sonuna" Taranimak likes Bauxite, Copper, Green jade, the color navy, cloaks, ballistas, cats for their aloofness and hydras for their seven heads. When possible, she prefers to consume Dr Pepper and ramen.
She lives at a relaxed pace. She tends to avoid crowds. She has a fertile imagination. She is completely disorganized. She is very distant and reserved. She tends not to openly express emotions. She needs caffeine to get through the working day.

I have the original SimCity, special edition. I've pretty much mastered the game.

I have either Sim City or Sim Town... I can't remember, and we also have Sim City 2000 (with the two expansions... I could never use them though, because someone lost the the expansion discs)... it was one of those old school ones on a floppy disc.

Sim Tunes!!!! I got that from the library once. It was incredibly wierd and fun at the same time. I loved putting on enough stuff to lag my comp (back when it was a 486 running at 66mhz).

^I was waiting for someone to mention SimPark. I never owned it, but played it at a friends house once or twice.

My old one had some of the sim games, and I didn't need the CD-Rom after I installed them

That was actually one of my favorite ones. Probably because it was significantly easier than the others. :D

Yes, my library does have pc games. They don't stock any of the new or popular ones though. They would probably get stolen.
