I think on its own it looks kind of fun, but as part of the Pokémon property it just seems so bizarre! This is unlike anything else in the franchise, in a major way.

That's the thing, they AREN'T doing a generic pokemon plot, and that's good.

When I first heard they were making a Pokemon movie I had zero interest because I have never had any interest, but then I saw the trailer before a movie in the theatres, and it actually looked pretty good! I was quite surprised to find myself considering actually seeing the movie, though still probably not in theatres.

Did you ever see it Monty? (Or anyone else) Was it any good?

I noticed it's free on Roku right now, wondering if it's worth checking out.

I haven't seen it yet, but one of my friends worked on the movie as an animator and they really enjoyed it! (Yanno... other than the exhaustive hours and intensive demands of the studio.)

I've been wanting to watch it too, just haven't yet. I really should check it out though. :-k Maybe I'll do that.

I enjoyed it! Definitely a bit of a throwback, it was fun to just watch a Pokemon movie, but the movie itself was a lot of fun. Not anything "special", per se, it's not the best movie of the year or anything like that, but it's certainly worth watching in quarantine.
It's been awhile, hasn't it?

Thanks, I'll go ahead and check it out some time soon! Nothing to lose since it's free.
