The TV Tells me How to Vote/Blimey Cow

Here's the place for discussing music, plays, YouTube videos, and any other media that doesn't quite fit in the other sections of Harlequin Theatre.

Um, they raised several thousand dollars for something that is connected to the show...

Yeah. They are apparently going to start a Blimey Cow podcast.

They're buying $7,500 worth of recording equipment so Josh can fulfill his dream. I have a feeling the podcast will be as successful as the "Blimey Cow vlog". :anxious:

And that's fine... if they want a niche following of 1000 homeschoolers. I always thought they'd become mega viral and be YouTube sensations.

Just my two cents.

Well, if you don't want to support them, feel free...

If you never try anything new or different for fear of becoming "irrelevant", then you're never going to grow or expand yourself. I think it's really cool that the Blimey Cow team is trying something new because they want to experiment with it, not because they're worried about their audience count.

I was meaning your comment fame was fleeing, JJ, but OK. Most of the posts right now are about the Kickstarter campaign is because 1) it launched on Tuesday and 2) it's successful beyond their dreams. There's being mega viral, and then there's attempting to earn money doing the thing that you love. I have no problem with their aspirations toward the latter. :)

Oh... then hey, 32 likes is the second-most I've ever received from YouTube. I'd say my fame is growing. \:D/

Today's topic: Top 15 Christian Cliches. Apparently it is pitchfork worthy.

The "Father God" thing is a pet peeve of mine, too. The hand-squeeze thing was hilarious. \:D/

I'm still not entirely convinced they weren't just reading 'Stuff Christians Like' out loud. :p Good stuff, though. \:D/

The thing about Blimey Cow is that they have a thing for sarcasm. :p Personally, I have found all of their videos entertaining.

I also think Jordan could have chosen a much better Disney Princess as his favorite. :noway:

I suppose I forgot about Princess Mia being a Disney princess....

Well, she isn't one in the sense that it's generally used, although technically she is a Disney character who's a princess.

They might have marketed her more, but they'd have had to pay Anne Hathaway royalties if they did, which is also why Giselle from Enchanted isn't marketed as an official Disney Princess.

Proof that animation is better.

Blimey Cow's Kickstarter campaign to start doing audio work has ended. The original goal was $1,700, and their final amount raised is $16,931.

When did I become so good at the internet?

I posted that video to cheezburger and it's gotten hundreds of shares and likes. Between this and creating their Wikipedia article, Blimey Cow owes me a free t-shirt.
