We most certainly should have a day to remember her.

Yeah, we should have a day to remember StongNChrist! Though if it is going to be on Skype or something like that (i.e. group phone, etc.) then I will not be able to attend... :(

Indeed I think that would be fitting for someone so in love with Jesus.

We should have a moment of silence for her. Meaning no one posts during her funeral.

It’s Saturday, April 2 at 3:00 PM Mountain Time Zone.

How long should it last?
Or should it be for the whole day so there's no time zone confusion?

Yeah I think we should do it the whole day.

EDIT: I get time zones confused sometimes

You can use this converter.

Set the date to April 2 2011 15/3pm 00
and the location to USA - New Mexico - Albuquerque
Set the converter to your local time zone and click Convert time.

That’s when the funeral is.

If you’re doing it for the whole day, set the date to April 2 2011 00/12am 00 and don’t post from that time (converted locally) for 24 hours.

I don't think we should ever close the ToO.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.
Yes I know this is from a war poem, but it carries applicable sentiment. If we loose hope of what we all come here to do ....

I think someone should compile all the time zones, and post a global announcement showing what time the funeral is in every time zone. Then we could have no posting for 2 or 3 hours... I just don't like the idea of completely shutting this place down... :( That would make me really sad. :mecry:

I had trouble using that converter... so if someone else wants to do the conversion, that would be fantastic. :)

The funeral is April 2nd at:

2:00 PM Pacific
3:00 PM Mountain
4:00 PM Central
5:00 PM Eastern

This list may only be accurate for the contiguous United States. I don’t know how Canada factors in, and I didn’t calculate for anyone in a different continent. (Plus that would be a day change added on one way of the other.)

5:30 PM Newfoundland

I don't think the ToO should stop posting. (Don't get me wrong, I think it is a great idea, but that is probably when we will'st need each other most, and I think SnC would have wanted us to continue.)

This is only forum silence. I believe there will be a meeting in the chat room for people who want to talk and pray. Unless that's been decided against.

I support the "moment of silence", but it really should only be for an hour or two. That's about how long the funeral will be.
