Best of luck on the championship, KF! \:D/ You have the team with the better record and are currently projected to win by 15 points, so I'll be needing something just short of a miracle to defeat you. (Which I got last week when Ja'marr Chase put up 44 points. Sorry, Almanzo.)

Week 16 - at Pack Is Back (Almanzo)
This has just become absolutely absurd. This was supposed to be a much needed easy win this week, no offense to Monty that's just how it lined up; the projected margin of victory was 18! But for the I've-lost-count-how-many-times-now this season, not only did the huge projected margin not mean a thing, and not only did I actually end up losing, but I lost by a bigger margin than I was supposed to win by! And that is with Monty leaving in two players who were out this week!! There is no way that happens in a regular year; everything about this season is just absolutely looney; who knows anything? This matchup was settled already after the Thursday game with just one score recorded, when a probably all-time high TE 31 points single-handedly flipped the projected margin for Monty, again even with two known zeroes in his lineup!

Playoffs (#5 seed of 8):
Consolation Bracket Round 1 - vs #6 In re Football (Presler)
This final regular season game was a must-win week if I was going to sneak into the playoffs after all the craziness, and I did my part. Put together one of my most solid lineups ever, and wow did they deliver. But I wasn't in sole control of my destiny; I needed to win and also needed Eugene to lose. That part didn't happen, though Monty put up a heck of a fight. And this is where absurd shock losses like last week's really sting in their affect on the big picture. If I had just one more win on the record I would have jumped Eugene for the final playoff spot, but instead we end the season tied and the tiebreaker is points which leaves me first team out. Not an unexpected outcome, so I'm not crestfallen about it, but it is disappointing that despite all the bizarre losses this season a playoff push was still an actual reality in these last couple weeks but I came up just short.

Moves:
Benched Mattison for Swift

Several poor performances in the lineup this week, but covered for easily by multiple huge scores. Even though we're in the consolation ladder and not the winner's bracket we still want to put our best effort into the postseason and end the year on a positive note.

Thanks, KF! Wow, what a finish. I needed a miracle, and that miracle turned into a 60-point victory.

As mentioned...

American Eagle is the ToO's 2021-22 Fantasy Football champion! \:D/

Final Standings (change from last year in parenthesis)
  1. (+4) American Eagles (American Eagle)
  2. (--) Texas Staleys (Knight Fisher)
  3. (+4) Bench Coolers (E II)
  4. (--) Pack Is Back (Almanzo)
  5. (-2) Blitzing Bookworms (bookworm)
  6. (-5) Winoka Warriors (Laura Ingalls)
  7. (-1) Ultimate Lucksters (Monty_Whittaker)
  8. (--) In re Football (AE's roommate Presler)
Thanks for playing, everyone! It was a great season. Both divisions remained very close until the very end.

KF, after finishing 2nd two years in a row, next year is definitely destined to be your year.

E II, you came so close once again. You're the longest running player yet to win a championship, and you've come close several times. You'll have to beat out KF for it next year.

Hope to see you all again in August! \:D/

I had a pretty solid lineup, but so did Laura, so it went down to the wire. That was because I was down a player though, at full strength it wouldn't have been so close. But my kicker was a last minute scratch and I hadn't been able to log on in time to make a change. Seeing how close things were staying I thought that would end up costing me, it would have been a fitting end to this season of disappointments, but I manage to sneak out with the win. I believe some of my players got benched before the ends of their games with playoff seeding locked up too, so that also contributed to the score tightening by the end of the day; things had started off looking like the missing kicker wasn't going to even be a factor but after a while my scoring slowed and Laura really closed the gap.

Good year everyone! Season review will be posted at some point.

Be sure to set your final lineup; apparently they changed the game format so the Super Bowl isn't locked together with your picks for Championship Week. I only have three of my picks advancing from there, but I'm able to pick new players for the other positions for the Super Bowl.
