Dragon Cave

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

@Kathy0: It takes about 4 days for eggs to hatch (that is, if they are 7 days new). Or a better way to see when it will hatch/mature is to look on the egg's profile and at the "Egg will die if it doesn’t hatch in: x days and xx hours." When that counter reaches 3 days your egg will hatch (if it has gained enough views/clicks)

Please refer to what I said to Tea Ess about getting views:
snubs wrote:You need your eggs/hatchlings to get unique views and clicks in order for it to grow. But posting them on the ToO alone won't get them to hatch. So it's good to put them on at least 3 to 5 Dragon Cave click sites. I usually wait a day before doing so (if your egg was stolen from the cave/is 7 days new), because if your egg gets too many clicks/views in a short amount of time it will get sick.

The click sites I like to use are...
--The Hatching Club
--Valley Sherwood
--Evina's DragHatch
--Egg Drop Soup
--Silvi's Lair
I already put your eggs up on a couple of these click sites already, but you can do others yourself. :)

Also, below are some links to some very helpful info.

Can't you kill one of them or abandon it?

Killing an egg will leave the dead egg on your scroll and I think it will still count as of you have a live egg. I think the dead egg will leave after two weeks.

In other news, I GOT A GOLD DRAGON EGG!!!!!
I got it from the abandoned page, but it's still freaking cool! \:D/ Image

Ooh la la!
When referring to the abandoned page, is that different from where it says 'Cave?'

As of now, four of my Dragons are adults, and I'm hoping I can finally breed soon.

The abandoned page is on the 'Cave' page, but it's the link where the text says 'take one of those.'

How difficult is it to get a rare dragon? Penguin told me the chances are better if you try at the 5 minute intervals. Do you just memorize the descriptions for the rare dragons, and are there certain ones that I should be watching for?

Ehh, it depends. They are pretty challenging to get. And you'll likely only be able to snatch them at the 5 minute intervals, because that's when they all refresh and the rare/uncommon eggs drop. AND even if you do see a rare, you have to be quick because people snatch 'em up fast. :x

I memorize the descriptions to the rares that I'm trying to find. I think it's easiest to only focus on two or three descriptions at a time.

Thanks. I'm kicking myself for not learning the descriptions earlier. I saw an egg with a rare description a while ago and ended up choosing something else. :(

Wow, congratulations, Penguin! I love how snubs named hers after BC. :p

Is anyone else playing the Christmas Event? And have you gotten the new Christmas egg release?

I got all of the Christmas dragons except for the Holly one, which I was forced to abandon so I could get an Aegis. I didn't end up playing the event though.

I now have a Golden Wyvern and a Paper Dragon! \:D/

Also, I have a Celestial Dragon which apparently has to corporealize before it can be bred. Any ideas about what I should breed it with?

I've returned to collecting dragons \:D/ I missed so many dragon releases. :( I've already gotten a few of the newer dragons. I'm also getting used to when to put them on the click sites, because 2 of my eggs died :boohoo:
I was able to snatch these babies from the abandoned page  :
