Re: Ted Dekker

Lee, it WAS called the Circle series, when it was just Red, Black, and White. But after Green was written, it became known as the Circle Series. Petrichor, sometimes his books *are* confusing, but I still find them to be quite genius. I've read Thr3e, Eyes Wide Open, Burn, and Immanuel's Veins. I t...

Re: Ted Dekker

I read the Circle (minus Green) a couple years ago, and I can't say that I was blown away by it. The writing was poor, the characters were bland, and for all his plots have been raved about, my personal impression was one of confusion rather than genius. :p

Re: Guys wearing girl pants/skinny jeans

...I have seen several guys who look very attractive in skinny jeans. Just sayin' \:D/ That's because those guys are already drop-dead gorgeous to start with. They are attractive in spite of the skinny jeans. :noway: I could take this conversation down a totally different road right now. But I shan...

Re: Guys wearing girl pants/skinny jeans

Yeah, I really don't have a moral issue with guys wearing skinny jeans, per se. I just don't really care for the fashion. Wearing "girl pants", however, I do have a problem with. Guys, if you're going shopping for those... I've gotten guys kicked out of a store for poking around in the jun...

Re: Guys wearing girl pants/skinny jeans

It's called a freaking joke.... http://24.media.tumblr.com/cc740940aba653f773aa6529d723f880/tumblr_mg55oyjrhc1rjcujgo1_500.jpg Aaanyways, most girls I know aren't really fans of guys wearing skinny jeans. It's not a good look, and they're really not doing you any favors with the ladies. If you genu...

Re: Doctor Who- Best/Worst Episodes

Are we referring to the best/worst of all episodes ever? Or just the episodes since the relaunch? Since I'm going to assume that most people have just seen the new series, we'll only use those episodes from 2005 to now. \:D/ Anyways, it kind of kills me to say this, because I've always been pretty ...

An excellent video today. ^.^ I was literally choking with laughter by the end.

And now, if you'll pardon me, I feel inspired to write a song...

Re: What Not to Read

Actually, I have trouble thinking of any book that I read in its entirety and didn't think I was better off for having read it. You are insanely lucky, then. I would think just about everyone has a couple books that they regret wasting their time on. For instance, I can't believe I blew two perfect...

What Not to Read

Admit it. Somewhere in your head, you've got a list of those books that make you cringe whenever you remember them. You fling your hands up in disgust whenever you hear them mentioned. You flee in terror whenever you see them. Those awful, terrible books that just make you whimper whenever you think...

So last night, I came home from work, helped make dinner, made a cheesecake, and won NaNo! \:D/
Anyone who's gone through NaNoWriMo knows what this means... :snore:

So, now that we've reached the halfway mark, how's everyone doing? Have you fallen behind in your wordcount? Surged ahead? Given up altogether and consoled yourself by eating vast quantities of chocolate? \:D/

Re: NaNoWriMo

Haha, I understand. I was teasing a little bit there. ;) The Traveling Shovel of Death is an old NaNo standby. \:D/ I'm not really sure where you're at in your story, but if you just want to get rid of him without killing him, you could... have him enroll in some kind of boarding school far away? Se...

Re: NaNoWriMo

I wrote an extra character that went with them, and now it's messing everything up. Now I have to keep 3 characters lively and active. Should I kill him off? Perhaps you could introduce the Traveling Shovel of Death. Or maybe if you don't feel like actually killing him, you could just land him in t...

It can't be. Not so soon. I'm not prepared!

I'm definitely participating this year, albeit a few days late. Pesky SAT, taking up prime noveling time.

Anywho, here's my profile, if anyone should wish to add me or some such notion.

Re: Doctor Who Series Preview

So... 'The Angels Take Manhattan'. Thoughts? I was kind of disappointed that the spooky, "crime drama" feel wasn't maintained for the whole episode. I didn't like the weird tension they swapped it for. Felt sort of cheap and overdone. :-k I think I may be one of the few people I know who w...

Re: Contemporary Christian music suggestions

No one has mentioned Tenth Avenue North? :thud: Not all their songs fit exactly with your specifications, Kait, but you might give some of their songs a try, such as "By Your Side", "Hold My Heart", and "You Are More". "Times" and "Oh My Dear" are a ...
