I am bob_tohmatoes. I just tried typing variations of Bob Tomato until it let me in. :anxious: And bookworm kindly let me know that I could update my email, so now I can race to my heart's content. \:D/

Re: Anyone play Nitro Type?

I just joined with a 10-minute minute email to see what it was all about and then got super into it and spent like an hour on the site. I hope I can remember my login.

Re: What books are you reading?

I finished The Goose Girl and I liked it, so now I'm reading the sequel, Enna Burning. It's weirdly much darker than the first one, but I'm enjoying it so far.

Re: What books are you reading?

I just finished rereading A Girl of the Limberlost by Gene Stratton-Porter. I reread Freckles earlier this year, so I decided it was a good time for this one.

Now I'm reading The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale for the first time.

Re: Disenchanted

I got about twenty minutes into it the other day. So far, it feels like WandaVision 2.0, but overall better than I was expecting. I'll definitely finish it once I have time to sit through the rest of it.

Re: Please help me list AiO nouns (I'm making a game!)

Was the list cut down? I thought of a few things I wanted to add, but it looks much shorter than it used to, so I didn't want to add anything extra if it had been shortened for some reason.

EDIT: Oh wait, I see there's a spreadsheet now. I'm assuming most of it migrated over there?

Thank you very much, bookworm and Catspaw! I got a good chuckle out of your comments, Catspaw. :hilarious: I guess it hasn't come up here very often. :-k

Re: What books are you reading?

Petrichor, that sounds really interesting! I haven't heard of that book. I definitely recommend it! The book is narrated by the younger sister observing all her older siblings' lives and romances, and it's such good fun. :D I'm currently reading The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer, and it is absolut...

Re: What books are you reading?

I finished Laddie by Gene Stratton-Porter the other day. I absolutely loved it. When a book starts out with a character making a pair of trousers for her pet bluejay, Hezekiah, you just know it's going to be good. :inlove:

It's funny that you bumped this just now, bookworm! I was just talking with some friends the other day about how this was a good song, but the music video is so completely early 2000s.

Re: 2022 Winter Olympics

Really sad turn of events with the women's figure skating this year. I only watched a few brief recap clips and those were pretty heartbreaking. I don't know why they even put Valieva on the ice. What a disaster, and a bummer for the winners, too. :( I find the Russian skating scandal such a mess. I...

Re: 2022 Winter Olympics

Yes, I love ice dance! I think it's the most entertaining of the figure skating events. I definitely knew that lyrics were allowed last Olympics because of Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir's awesome "Roxanne" program that won them the gold medal for Canada. I was really missing them this time ...

Re: 2022 Winter Olympics

I haven't gotten a chance to watch very much of the Olympics this year, but I caught a little bit of the ice dancing. Not sure if I'm a fan of having lyrics in the performances now. It might just be that I'm not used to it, but I don't feel like they choreograph the performances to the lyrics in any...

Re: What books are you reading?

I'm currently rereading the Blood of Kings trilogy by Jill Williamson and just started From Darkness Won today. I was a little apprehensive to pick these books up again because I loved them SO much when I was in high school, but I've been so pleasantly surprised by how good they really are.

Yes, I think of it as an acronym rather than an initialism. I suppose that's where the different schools of thought come in.

Re: Why Are You Here?

Wow, now that you mention it Petrichor, that could be considered a poem. I never say ToO like "too" so I actually didn't intend it that way, but once you called it a poem and changed the line spacing, I was amazed at my own genius! I'm trying to remember who I met in real life who p...
