Allowances
Had a discussion with one of my customers the other day that got me wondering something. Did you get an allowance as a kid? If so, how much? For me, it was $2 every Friday. This was in the late 90s & early 2000s.

A Mayoral Apology
Dear Citizens, As you may have noticed, my presence has been very limited for the last month or so. Unfortunately, adulting has been kind of a struggle recently. WIth my moms passing back in March, I've just not been my usual self. As a result, my activity here has suffered. And for that, I owe you ...

Re: Random Tidbit Discussion Thread
I had to try the humming thing as soon as I read it. Happy Resurrection Sunday! He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Matthew 28:6 While this is not a random tidbit, I felt it important to include this today. I am so thankful to serve a risen saviour to...

Was it a Good Friday?
The AIO Facebook page made a post in regards to Christ's death and Good Friday. At the end they posed this question. "Do you have a reason to call it Good?" I am so thankful to serve a risen saviour who blesses me and forgives me in spite of my many mistakes I make daily. Why do you call i...

Easter Celebrations
Last night I had all kinds of people coming through my line spending insane amounts of money on easter candy. In once case, someone spent $15 on chocolate bunnies. It got me to thinking. Growing up, I was allowed to color easter eggs and get easter baskets. I even remember a picture or 2 with the ea...

That's just wrong. How did you cope? The Top Crusader wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 5:17 pm I ordered honey with my chicken McNuggets once but they gave me honey mustard instead.
That sounds rough @Jonathan. I can't imagine being on a vent. It's hard enough watching family experience it.

Re: Hardest Life Experiences
I can't begin to imagine the sheer terror of having to watch your child intubated. I am so sorry you have dealt with these things @Laura Ingalls. But, I'm glad God has been with you through it all.

Hardest Life Experiences
Sometimes life is like a rose bush. You have the wonderful moments of the pretty flowers. But, other times you get pricked by the thorns. Here lately, I've had a few thorns of my own. In the last 10 months, I have had both COVID and flu. In the span of a year and 3 months, I lost both my mom and ste...

Mental Health From a Christian Perspective
I don't know about you guys. But, ever since COVID and just adult life in general the last few years, I have had many episodes of what most people would classify as depression that stemmed from different situations. When bringing it up in public or in social media, for prayer or whatever, I'm always...

I think most factions are dead these days. Which is sad. But, if everyone was in factions, overall board activity would suffer.

Re: Down Gilead Lane
I know this is a huge bump. The DGL FB page has inspired me to go back and start relistening to DGL, starting with season one. It got me curious. Do we have any current citizens here that like DGL?
