Is it possible you're thinking of Jack and Emily, mentioned in "A Question About Tasha"?
No, Jack actually married Emily - he didn't break off the engagement. :)

Peter Walking on Water/the Train Trestle at Miller's Ravine

*topic title note - I really wanted to call this thread 'Peter Walking on Water the Train Trestle over Miller's Ravine' but, it won't let you strike through words in a subject line - argh. :x Anyway... :- This is another one of those 'has-everyone-else-always-taken-this-for-granite-and-I'm-just-real...

Re: Whit's Life

The biggest things you're missing (off the top of my head) is that he attended Duke University (he finished at USC after the war) and that he got his librarian certification and worked at the Pascedena Public Library. A while back, I did some research and came up with a page of notes as well as a ti...

Re: To the Bride of Christ

That's really really awesome! So, often these sorts of spoken word/sermon jam/youtube sensation things are negative - it's so easy to point out the flaws in the church because there are inherently so many. It's really cool to see one that points out all the good things that the church is and does. A...

Re: Autistic character

I don't think Eugene is socially awkward, he just... has little in common with most people (most notably Connie) but, he's anything but awkward around Katrina, Whit, Jason and the group he hangs out with in 'Third Degree' when Bernard's in jail (especially noteworthy since it's a large group social ...

You know what would be great for a shutdown sound - Bernard saying "tuuurn it ooof" as he's being shocked in Suspicious Minds.

I was totally unaware that one was socially obligated to give a gift to his/her mailman. :anxious: But, fun idea, none the less. :) If I may add to the general career list... Suspicious Minds - Cashier/Store Clerk Second Thoughts - Farmer Third Degree - Police Officer/Prison Guard A Class Act/For Tr...

Re: Random Things That Remind You Of AIO

The other day I turned down an offer of seconds on cake and, for some reason, thought "if you keep sending me to all these lunches and brunches, I'm gonna lose my girlish figure".

Really - you're going on a road trip and it never occurred to you to listen to AIO? :-s Isn't that like... cliche - all conservative evangelicals listen to Adventures in Odyssey on long car trips? ;)

Well, I just brought up the church again because I was afraid a whole meeting room/buffet deal might be too expensive but, actually this sounds pretty great. As far as I'm concerned, go for it. :)

Re: ToO Convention 2012

A hotel meeting room seems a little unnecessarily expensive to me. (Not to be picky, I mean, I'll do whatever) If we're content with a lobby (someone mentioned a hotel lobby), the lady at the church did mention that "There are plenty of open areas throughout the church that you will be able to ...

Re: ToO Convention 2012

I heard back from the church - they said that with Focus using so much space, there won't be any rooms available. :( Doesn't make any sense to me but... I guess we'll have to come up with a new plan.

He says "I'm finished talking to you" to Cryin' Brian Dern in The Forgotten Deed - not sure if that will work or not.
