Re: Books mentioned in Odyssey

Whit mentions The Hound of Heaven by Francis Thompson when talking with Aubrey in episode #418, "Opening Day". Is that a book? I thought that was just the title of a poem..? :-k Yeah, it is actually a poem, but it's quite long, so I thought it might count. :) EDIT: While on the subject of...

This is a really fun idea, snubs! It'll be interesting to see all the books that have been mentioned on AIO through the years.

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Catspaw did! Various celebrating and physically mature leprechauns now frolic across the ToO. \:D/

I didn't do anything nearly as cool. Just wore a green shirt so that my siblings wouldn't pinch me. :p

Re: Questions for Catspaw

Dear Catspaw,
Does the ToO have a word filter? If so, can you edit it so that it changes the phrase "like button" to something more awesome, like "senile weasel" or something? \:D/

Re: Has the Soda Shop Board Officially replaced thetoo?

I found it hilarious to read so many posts on how "the Hunger Games are evil, wicked, vile, and sinful!" followed by,"but I've never read the books or seen the film and do not plan to do so." Those were my feelings as well. \:D/ I suffered through reading that whole thing. It wa...

Re: Has the Soda Shop Board Officially replaced thetoo?

Erm, honestly, the Soda Shop reminds me wayyy too much of myself at twelve. Their "debate" on whether or not the Hunger Games books are evil was particularly painful/entertaining. \:D/ And it is an excellent, excellent example of why I have no plans to join there anytime soon. :p Long live...

Re: Ted Dekker

Yeah, I know I'm sort of going against the flow for not being in utter awe of ol' Teddy's brilliance, but I'm just calling it like I see it. :anxious: My overall impression after finishing the Circle series was, "These books were not well-written." They're...okay. Not amazing. Not horrible...

Re: Ted Dekker

To be perfectly honest, all my experiences with Ted Dekker have been kind of underwhelming. I read the original Circle trilogy, and wasn't particularly impressed, and then I read "Chosen", and was still less impressed. He's a pretty poor writer, and definitely doesn't deserve all the hyper...

Even without taking anything else into consideration, I have yet to see a guy who looks good in skinny jeans. Please don't. ;) I politely disagree with this statement. I have seen several guys who look very attractive in skinny jeans. Just sayin' \:D/ You disagree with my statement that I have yet ...

Ultra jerk! Haha, you intentionally create this topic to create controversy (with a "troll face"), and then you get offended when someone shares a view you don't like? Nice. Who said I was offended.... The fact that you called him an "ultra jerk" seems to imply that you were. :a...

Re: Doctor Who- Best/Worst Episodes

I got kind of depressed trying to come up with my personal favorite/least favorite episodes, because as much as I love Doctor Who, I have to admit that there rather a lot of badly done episodes. :( But anyway. After much deliberation, for favorite episodes I have come up with The Unicorn and the Was...

So I'm shamelessly bumping this topic because I'm desperate to let off steam lol. I just finished the last episode of Season 2, and I am totally in love with Sherlock. :inlove: (I got hooked after the first episode and watched them all this week.) He's amazingly crazy and brilliant and gorgeous, an...

Unfortunately, I have a lot of these. For your perusing convenience, I have arranged a few of my (least) favorites on a scale of scarring to stupid. \:D/ Scarring Graceling by Kristen Cashore. Quite probably the worst book I have ever read--on so many levels. 'Nuff said. Finnikin of the Rock by Meli...
