Re: The Whit's End Podcast Is Going To Interview Paul McCusker
Actually, I have a much more pressing question. A huge focus of this season is about family structure, and gay marriage specifically. If you guys want to teach kids about it, why do the words "gay" or "homosexual" never appear in the entire album? How can you teach kids anything ...

Re: Age to introduce kids to AIO?
Yeah my kids listen all the time. When my daughter was little I didn't care if I listened to the scarier episodes when she was around but now I don't because she can get scared (5 yrs now). My boys are 14 mos and they are listening to Another Man's Shoes right now (ha! with me!) My one boy picked i...

Re: Odyssey + the Real World
Today I had the unfortunate case of having an AIO quote describe part of my evening: "Forgot my wallet." It's one of those one-liner quotes that I always found funny when I was younger, and today it came to mind after I rushed off after an evening church event to run a few errands when I ...

I am trying to understand your post. It sounds like you are saying they are now Making the episode about homosexuality. Are they gonna make this one in ten episode?

Re: The Whit's End Podcast Is Going To Interview Paul McCusker
I have a question: Phil Lollar has mentioned before that AIO very nearly did an episode about homosexuality in the early 90's. What made you decide to not do it then, but to write it now? How did you go about handling the writing of such an explosive topic?

It's not that bias changes the content of a story, making it subjectively good or bad. It's that our concepts of good and bad fiction are inherently biased and subjective, because there's no true definition of "good or bad fiction". Also, Austin's right. It's truly a shame about the episod...

My little cousins are hooked on it, and they're always awed by how Victoria and I have the entire show and have our podcast and everything. They're 8 and 6, and they're been listening for a couple years. Their dad grew up on the show as well.

This came to me this morning, regarding the DeWhite family caffeine habits: Mrs. DeWhite was a pretty big tea drinker all her life—particularly herbal teas. During their stint in the Witness Protection Program, she needed something to help calm Trent's neuroses, so she fixed him some chamomile tea ...

I just re-listened to check, and you're right. They ate Nelson's malt balls, and Whit never says what he did with the originals. Maybe he returned them to the pastor.

It's worth mentioning that the topic of social media was from "Opposite Day", not "Fast As I Can". And yes, we're still seriously lacking Canadian love. I can count the number of AIO references to Canada on both hands. (Oscar Peterson had relatives there in Our Best Vacation Ever...

Also this. There shouldn't have to be such things as "girls' shows" and "boys' shows". Men should be allowed to like traditionally "feminine" things without being labeled as effeminate or gay—there are plenty of straight, masculine men in theatre (many of whom ar...
