Re: Cruella

She's such an odd character to put in a lead role. I get what they're going for (the Harley Quinn kinda move that DC did), but still... There are other classic villains that Disney could have made a movie on. Maleficent was a cool concept (regardless of what anyone thought of the execution) because ...

I finally logged in again! I've been really busy, but I'm so glad the ToO is back! I've missed it.

Re: Aladdin (2019)

So, did anyone end up seeing this? My review: I think I like this new one better than the original 1992 Aladdin! (This may have something to do with the fact that I never liked the original in the first place. :anxious: ) -I thought Will Smith did an excellent job playing the genie. However, the fa...

Re: Welcome/Goodbye

Hello! ASmouseInTheHouse here from the Soda Shop! I was surprised to see all the activity around here when Album 69 was airing, so I decided to get an account so I could join future discussions. :) Happy to be here! Yay, welcome to the ToO! We're glad to have you for...six days...before the ToO is ...

Re: 894: A Simple Reminder

I liked this episode! I couldn't even tell it had been remotely recorded! My favorite part was the Veggietales parody. I do wish that they had made more Veggietales references, though... First of all, welcome to the ToO! You have chosen an odd time to join, but we're glad to have ya! I agree with y...

Re: 2020 Avery Awards

Literally everything I had voted for won \:D/ . Unfortunately I said that Nightmares by Constance was the best episode when I was casting my votes, I would have changed it to "A Sacrificial Escape". It's so weird because I was the only who leaked the album 70 info :D Ahaha wow! You had th...

2020 Avery Awards

Go listen to the latest Official Podcast for the results! https://www.adventuresinodyssey.com/podcast/67-68-avery-awards/ I The results were disappointing personally but the parody of "A Sacrificial Escape" has me dead. And the voice! Dang! That was unexpected. Jesse: Yeah! Didn't you hear...

Re: Change.org Petition to Get Connie Married

*revives topic* So, yes, I signed this the second I learned of its existence. It's not that Connie cannot be happy and feel complete without a man. I don't think that's what anyone is saying at all. It's that she is purposefully held back in a multitude of ways to appease the younger audience. To ke...

Re: Mulan (2020)

There is no way I'm spending $30 to rent it on Disney+, especially after the things I've heard about it from critics & friends. It's disheartening to hear from others that it seems to be a trainwreck because the trailer looked good. :( To quote my friend, "they took everything good about th...

Re: Chronological Listen-Through

I am probably going to start the listen-through tonight. Currently debating on whether to start on Family Portraits even though they're non-canonical. Might listen to them seperately. And many times at that. I haven't in the last year and a half and was thinking of doing another one soon. The last t...

Re: The apocalypse is here!

My heart is busted. What shall we do? Sadness  I actually joined the Soda Shop by pure coincidence (sorry, Whit) a few days ago. To the ToOers who still want a forum to talk on, I'm there under the same username. But I would be lying if I said that I like the SS as much as the ToO. Not to start...

This was not news I was expecting to hear today. I'm really sad :( But I completely understand the situation and support everyone involved in the upkeep of this site. I think starting a donation pool for Eugene would be a really great idea. It sounds like an absolutely daunting task to update the bo...

Re: Have Whit's Inventions Gone Too Far?

Part of the trouble with Whit's technology is that it was originally intended to function as a plot device, not as a real device. ^^Brilliant. Fantastic post! You made several points that I hadn't really considered. However, the writers' temptation to start to look at the ramifications of having it...

Re: Album 70 Discussion!

honestly don't really like this kind of "schtick" of characters the Odyssey writers are in. Years ago the writers had two switch around because there were less charters and less writers. I mean it's not as bad as I make it sound because I think all the writers do the characters they write...

Re: Album 70 Discussion!

Ok. I have thoughts. First I'm disappointed "Auto Response" isn't a two-parter. I really thought it would be, mainly due to it's large cast of main characters. Anyone else find their pattern of: "Album of single episodes, Album dominated by multi-parters, Album of single episodes&quo...

Through Nathan Hoobler, I can confirm that these episodes will appear in album 70: "Jumping Off, Jumping In” “Auto Response” “The Christmas Bells” “The Protector” YESS! I'm so hyped! Thanks for the info, Carl! This is so exciting! I was not anticipating "The Christmas Bells" to be on...

Re: Chronological Listen-Through

I did this over the whole stuck-at-home phase earlier this year. I highly recommend it! It does take some perseverance though, especially when forcing yourself to listen to an episode you hate. Not sure if this will help at all, but I printed off a list of every episode released with episode number...

Have Whit's Inventions Gone Too Far?

Oookay. I have been itching to discuss this! And I'm not trying to be a Karen here, I swear. I think this is an interesting conversation worth having. The question is, "Have Whit's Inventions Gone Too Far?" I honestly never thought about this topic before album 69. Whit's inventions ...

I try not to be a picky person in general and I will eat almost anything you give me out of politeness. Except maybe sardines. And most nuts because I'm deathly allergic and therefore detest them.
