Re: US Election 2016 General Discussion Topic

Excellent point, consider it conceded.

Fortunately most of the protests are not violent. It's heartening to see people don't want this, that they care.

Re: US Election 2016 General Discussion Topic

I'm not comparing Obama to Trump I was comparing their elections You're comparing the losing parties' reactions in the two instances. This is a poor comparison. The candidates were nothing alike because of the reasons already stated. Republicans reacted to an entirely different candidate winning th...

Re: US Election 2016 General Discussion Topic

I'm sorry, if to you, me being conservative means I am ill-informed, closed-minded, and sheltered. It doesn't. Nobody has said it does. Also bear in mind, few of us are liberal. Our core beliefs, particularly abortion, are conservative. However, I am talking about the VAST majority of people who ar...

Re: US Election 2016 General Discussion Topic

And there are protests happening all over. Why do Democrats get to throw tantrums? Republicans were just as dismayed about the 2012 outcome but didn't make a scene. To them everyone said "You lost, get over it." Why doesn't the other side have to react in kind? Obama was not a cartoonishl...

Re: A Case for Modern AIO

I enjoyed it! You brought up most of the key objections that pop up a lot and answered them pretty well. Especially the point that there's always more people to meet in Odyssey. (I would add the show has a been around thirty flipping years. What kind of lazy show would still have the same cast? How ...

Re: Adventures in Oddity [new book]

Oh good, seems the audio company let them do the voices after all! For obvious reasons, getting someone else to play these beloved, professional voice actors would be ridiculous.

So. Amazing. This is exactly what I hoped it would be and even more. Right from the Teaser I'm thinking, "My gosh. They're actually explaining what "anthropomorphic" is and the way they're talking it sounds like they're taking the cocept seriously and they built this civilization they...

Re: Who's Who on the ToO: Leonard Meltsner

I loved this. Devin is such a loyal odyssian, he's so knowledgeable and obsessed and it was so cool hearing what high regard he holds it in. I'm a very bad fan of the oddcast, pretty on again off again. Good stuff though and they keep getting better. More interesting things to say and some amusing j...

Interesting, I never really noticed this user but I'm not here all that often. I'll have to search Knight Fisher's posts, seems like a fun person.

Fences! Best episode ever! Okay, okay. Actually: Emily the Genius License to Deprive (Why!? Why didn't we get to seem more of Kelly!? I know why but why? ) The Price of Freedom Now I know a bit more about Nam, I have mixed feelings about Freedom. It has a point but yeah, it's hard to to deny Nam end...

Re: Inside Out

Well, people were a little more split last year. Basically, there was no Pixar movie and so there was room for opinion. :P Personally, while I feel The Lego movie was superior to The Boxtrolls, I can't think of any films on there that were actually bad and needed to removed. And again, I'd like to s...

Re: Inside Out

It was kind of a given IO would win. The Acadamy always gives the award to Pixar except in dire circumstances like Cars 2. I haven't seen some of the other nominees. Since there was no Disney film in 2015, there were more indie films than usual. There's usually smaller/indie films these last few yea...

Re: Re-Visiting Odyssey...Twenty Years Later

I was more shocked, however, that there was a big character purge in 2008, disposing of the Rathbones, among others. Yes, they did that before with the second generation of aio when Paul Herlinger came along, giving rise to some of my favorite albums and characters. Just like that time, it was beca...

Re: Down Gilead Lane

This really should not addressed in an AIO forum, but, be that as a may. This is the Harliquinn. It's open to discussion of all media. You're ToO original, you know that, you just forgot. At the end of STars and Gripes the Morrison parents make a strong point that it is also Christian parents who h...

Re: Down Gilead Lane

AIO is super "Christian." Why do you two not find it disgusting then too? Also if it's really not truly Christian, Why call it that? And if it genuinely is Christian, why mock it? /me rants Bottom line: I like AIO because it is amazing. I do not like DGL because it is awful. So I mock it....

Re: Down Gilead Lane

Ha! It kinda is. What moves it above standard Christian glop to prime glop (for me) is A. Its blatant copy catting of aio B. It's a radio drama. It's the first Christian radio drama I've heard so awful.

Re: Fixing Current Day Odyssey

I'd admit that's what it's like at least the last couple of albums, though not for the majority of albums since the relaunch. If you count the last two six pack albums as one though, that's not even true. Emily and Jay were in a number of episodes in Ties That Bind. And if, at your suggestion, we're...
