Re: 902-903: California Dreams, Parts 1-2
My thoughts for part 1, which broadcast on 2022-02-07: Jules Kendall is experiencing the "Brady Bunch"-ification of her music in the same way the oldest Brady boy did in that one episode: the producers came up with an image for him and he didn't like it. Jules's mom Jan (ha) comes to take ...

Re: Queen Elizabeth II celebrates Platinum Jubilee
Huh, I thought she was getting close to 80 years of reigning, because I thought a few years ago that she had passed Victoria's 76 years, but I recalled incorrectly. I'm sure many previous monarchs of that nation haven't lived to be as old as the queen's currently-living sons. Too bad for them, I gue...

Re: 19th-century Whit
That would be the 29th Century Whit. So 19th Whit would basically be a steampunk version of himself. I disagree that he would be in the Union navy. His family was from North Carolina, which was in the Confederate States of America. It was dragged by its neighbors; it was the last state to secede fro...

Re: Drinking The Tap
I would expect that bathing in water is not as bad as drinking said water, if one must be exposed to contaminants. I have been blessed to live in places with decent tap water, so I just drink tap water. Some of my friends, on the same nice water system, always drink water that has been filtered. I g...

Re: Mellorine
When I finally learned what margarine is, I almost threw up in my mouth. And that was a decade after I'd stopped eating margarine (different people buying the groceries). If you say mellorine is the hydrogenated-oil version of ice cream, I will never, ever voluntarily eat that.

904: Jumping Off, Jumping In
This episode broadcast on 2022-02-04. Episode summary Wyatt starts taking silly risks, like eating hot chips, leaping from sheds, and venturing into the lair of a ravenous beast. Is Jay putting him up to it … or is it tied to something that happened to his sister? My thoughts Hm, it sounds like we h...

Re: Little Debbie Ice Cream
I enjoy some of the Little Debbie snack cakes, but I'm not sure I'd be ready to try them as ice cream flavors. I like ice cream, but I don't eat it very often.
I distinctly remember that Swiss cake rolls used to taste better.

Re: New thread/post anxiety
If there was a previous thread a mod will merge yours with it if appropriate, it's not something to worry about at all! I do it all the time! I even once reported my own thread, when I placed it in the wrong subforum. Catspaw and I are closer than ever, with how many messages and reports I send her.

Re: Jurassic World: Dominion
Catspaw mostly: I recall that some old video tapes (VHS) from my childhood had what we would now call "special features," like a behind-the-scenes compilation. As a child, I really didn't care about this metadata. I only ever cared about the feature film. I definitely remember that DVDs, ...

Re: What books are you reading?
I just read "Galactic Odyssey" by Keith Laumer. It's a random and fun romp across a big galaxy full of humans and non-human lifeforms. A random dude from Earth ends up as a stowaway on an interstellar spaceship and his adventure begins there and gets exciting. It has a decent amount of wor...

Re: 898-900: The Rydell Revelations - SPOILERS
Rydell Revelations, part 3 Th story turned into a fascinating one "with a spy." It's unclear how the person was spying, and it's merely incidental that Morrie's badness can be used against the spy from his backstory. They deus ex machina their way to victory over the spy. And now they have...

Nope. When I have a topic that is at home on a forum, I dive right in and post it. I guess I'm not as wordy as I used to be (small joke; oldbies will get it). I think my involvement with AIO has been waning a little bit since a few months ago when I started up my daily AIO listening and posting.

Re: Verily, I hath met the Continental Admiral!
He was joking, guys. It was kind of an anti-joke because it's just a random sentence that throws the two thoughts together: he had an anniversary; he also went to an AEW match a few weeks later. Hm, unless CA gave the ticket to him. Maybe it's hard to get rid of Top?
