Re: "All You Need is Love"

I'm glad to see this thread has not been deleted, moved to the debate society, or developed into a mild riot. I am glad to see we have grown up (a bit). One of my rather obnoxiously gay friends posted this on Facebook a few weeks ago... Would you ever use the term "obnoxiously straight?" ;...

"All You Need is Love"

This is the part of the [time span here] where 31899 shows up and causes controversy. This short film is graphic at times and was the subject of some controversy a few month ago after being shown in a Manitoba school. I do not recommend watching if you are under the age of 14. Please do not troll. Y...

Re: Go green!

We actually gave up our car and borrow one when we need to make longer trips or take all 5 of us somewhere. In town, we bike. Including for groceries. I have a bike trailer. \:D/ Most of our lights have been converted to more energy efficient ones. I have the A/C up to like 82 this summer, so we ha...

Re: So

I recommend the following: Ask God to confirm your calling. Spend time in introspection/prayer/devotion. Question whether this is calling or personal desire. Continue to talk with people in the industry and your personal spiritual leaders. Take some courses in anthropology, human geography, and lang...

Re: Community

I have conflicting feelings about Shirley. Half the time she is amazing and bad-bottom, but the other half of the time I just cringe.

I'm hoping for a good (as in not reboot), Star Trek themed episode.

Re: Community

I think they will acknowledge Pierce.... in the form of him dying.

I would like to see more Rachel and Abed, but more so I would like to see the strengthening of Britta's character. Seriously, what's with the extrema flanderisation?

Re: Community

Season four was very disappointing, it will be interesting to see how they deal with the departure of two main actors. I really hope we get to see a bit more of the secondary characters.

<t>Words and numbers only have the powers which we assign to them. This act of censorship likely fits into one of two scenarios [providing I've read this thread correctly and somewhat understand ToO tendency]. One, administrators/moderators trying to feel relevant on board that does not need as many...

Community

Community is one of my favourite television shows ever (it almost rivals Voyager and DS9 ). For those unfamiliar, Community is a situational comedy that does not use a laugh track [win], and is exceedingly post-modern . These factors ,plus the interesting but slightly archetypical characters which ...

Re: Book Editing

If she is aspiring, she should be seeking accreditation. The want of practice is excellent, but one must always be careful. Theft of intellectual property is a very real thing.

Re: Book Editing

I am very concerned when I hear of persons who claim to be editors or working to be editors and are not accredited or working towards accreditation with their country's national editing association.
