Re: 2014 Winter Olympics

I don't see why his medal should not be considered a "real" medal for Russia if he has adopted and embraced their culture. ... Because he's not Russian. He became a Russian citizen, but that's not the same thing. This is the first medal for Russia, but a Russian still hasn't won one. I un...

Re: 2014 Winter Olympics

<r>This is really all just semantics, imho, but I would argue that his medal is indeed a "real" Russian medal. He changed his name and citizenship after he was no longer welcome to compete for South Korea, and although he may not be Russian by blood, I don't see why his medal should not be considere...

Re: 2014 Winter Olympics

The "slopestyle" is my new favorite Olympic event. \:D/ Sage Kotsenburg is totally rad.

I like the ice dancing too, although I'm partial to Meryl Davis and Charlie White. :-

Re: Super Bowl XLVIII commercials

Overall I agree that these definitely were not as good as in past years, but there were still some I really liked. My two favorites were the "America the Beautiful" and the "British Villains Rendezvous." (I may or may not have squeaked repeatedly when I saw Tom Hiddleston. :- ) h...

Re: Super Bowl XLVIII commercials

Yeah, one of my politically volatile, ultra-conservative Facebook friends was not happy about that one either. >_> I don't understand why people can't just lighten up.

I, for one, loved it. As a future translator/linguist, I think that commercial is perfect. :inlove:

Re: BBC's "Sherlock" Series

I desperately want to, but I have an android phone... So if any of you tech-savvy people know a way around this little problem, let me know. \:D/

On another note, this is just too adorable for words. :inlove:

Re: BBC's "Sherlock" Series

You're probably right about the drunk deductions, but that entire sequence is still my favorite Sherlock moment EVER. :-

Re: Sherlock Observation Game

Oh, okay haha. Poor Mrs. Hudson; I love her. Maybe when I have some time I'll deliberately score at different intervals to see who the other characters are too. I'm curious now. \:D/

I scored 96, so I'm Sherlock. \:D/ I missed the last difference in the fourth picture.

Re: BBC's "Sherlock" Series

SO DID I. I'M SO EXCITED.

I'm still not over this season. I probably never will be. :- I watched "His Last Vow" again, and it was even better the second time. The guy who played Magnussen is brilliant; (deerstalker) hats off to him.

Re: BBC's "Sherlock" Series

I'm dead. THAT WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING I HAVE EVER SEEN. I'm still in shock. I successfully avoided spoilers, so I had no idea what was coming, other than that Magnussen was the villain. I'll just hit my highlights for now. First, the whole thing with Janine: I had a feeling Sherlock was playing ...

Re: BBC's "Sherlock" Series

Especially now that she's pregnant.... I think that would be gruesome even for Steven Moffat.
I can't wait for tonight, and yet I also wish it wouldn't come because then we will be suffocated within the withering void of hiatus.

Re: Signature Image Size Limit

not many people were actually giving solid input Because the time for that was never initiated. People were giving off the cuff thoughts, because that’s all there was. I thought we were going to have a dedicated and focused discussion period, with sample signatures to view in order to actually anal...

Re: BBC's "Sherlock" Series

<r>Nah, I've seen lots of comments online in which people have voiced their disapproval, and I think I understand your point of view. This series has an extremely different feeling from the first two. It was quite a shock at first, to be honest, but I love it now that I have adjusted to it. I think ...

Re: BBC's "Sherlock" Series

I have to comment on "The Sign of Three".... BAHAHAHAHAHA. Seriously, I thought the brilliance of that episode was going to kill me. All I ever wanted was to see Sherlock drunk, and I FLIPPIN' GOT TO SEE IT. I will love Moffat and Gatiss forever for those stag night scenes. My life became ...
