Re: STAR TREK Into Darkness

I think Abrams will be better at Star Wars than he has been at Star Trek. I'm not entirely sure he or the writers understand Star Trek.

Re: STAR TREK Into Darkness

I saw it 17 May 2013, and who was correct about it having to do with the Botany Bay? I was disappointed because EVERYONE WOULD KNOW WHO KAHN WAS AND WHAT HE LOOKED LIKE. He was only one of the most important tyrants from the late twentieth century. No big deal (also, not to forget his mysterious dis...

It would have helped if I realised there was an election but I was obviously too busy being self-conceited, but next time.... :dark:

Re: Doctor Who Series Preview

We must remember, we do not know how the Doctor destroyed Gallifrey. We only know he used something know as "The Moment." There is still much to be learned about the Last Great Time War, in my opinion. P.S. Did anyone else notice "The stars are going out" reference which we also...

Re: Doctor Who Series Preview

This episode reminds me a bit of Silence in the Library in that Everybody knows that everybody dies, but not every day. Not today. Some days are special. Some days are so, so blessed. Some days, nobody dies at all. Now and then, every once in a very long while, every day in a million days, when the...

Re: Doctor Who Series Preview

I don't think we've seen the last of River Song. They meet out of order. There are still stories to be told (I think). Edit: I do not like the Doctor which was introduced. (Yes I know that is a bit premature). I really liked the way they worked Clara into the Doctor's past. I thought that was cleve...

Re: For Your Consideration: The 24th Mod Team!

A slightly different note. I didn't pay attention to the elections (because of exams and long distance driving[and I stopped caring about ToO elections a while ago]), but were any opposition supporters appointed as moderators?

Congratulations persons who were declared moderators.

Moving slightly off-topic, but do moderators even do anything any more?

I remember you (sort-of). Mostly I remember seeing your name a lot in Gower's Fields.

Re: wringing a washcloth in space

Yeah, the CSA is pretty awesome, but don't get nearly as much media attention as they should. In October they unveiled an entire fleet of planetary rovers.

Re: Win a trip to Mars!

IF GOD WANTED PEOPLE TO LIVE ON MARS HE WOULD HAVE PUT THEM THERE. So much fail. It is not so much winning a competition, as it is being selected in a very elaborate interview process. I am definitely going to apply even though I know I will likely not make it past the first stage. This is on...

The term which should be used is 'they.' What is the subject of your textbook? I've just seen so many posts on tumblr about "privilege" and it's just really funny. I know that it exists, but male privilege seems really exaggerated a lot of times to me. Please explain pay-gaps, why there ar...

Re: Questions for Catspaw

Who are your favourite characters on Community ? It's hard to pick favourites, but I really like Abed. \:D/ And Shirley, of course. And it's impossible not to love Leonard. \:D/ I like Chang in the "he's a crazy and interesting character" kind of way, not the "I would want to spend t...
