Re: 2020 Summer Olympics

That's cool! I hadn't heard about rock climbing. I'll have to try to watch some of that event. I'd recommend the whole thing, as the athletes are competing in three different events to be taken as a whole for the medal, sport climbing, bouldering (both of which I've done) and speed climbing (in my ...

I actually liked Albums 51 and 52. Definitely agree about the drop off though.

Re: 2020 Summer Olympics

It's probably been 20 years since I've been interested in the Olympics, but this year I will tune in for one thing as rock climbing as been added to the games.

Re: Unpopular AIO Opinions

-Odyssey is better when it is slice-of-life and chill. Yes, there's been some good dramatic sagas and multi-parters, but my favorite episodes are those that seem to fit into anyone's normal life. Post album 51/55, there seems to be too frequent dramatic episodes about stolen objects or break-ins or...

Re: Connie Moments

Hey Wod Fam Choc Sod! Welcome to the ToO. :D What a great topic idea! It's so neat that you connect to Connie so much. It's hard to pick a favourite Connie moment! One of mine is in "Suspicious Minds" where she's trying to convince Eugene to go to the bank to get a roll of quarters. Basic...

Re: What books are you reading?

I'm six chapters in and really appreciating what Childers has to say. It's all good stuff to me. I'm not personally questioning historic Christianity; however I know people who have or who have loved ones doing so and wanted to educate myself more about progressive Christianity and then be able to ...

I know that when Jonathan said he had gotten ideas from me, it wasn't for my romantic Christian historical fiction books. ;) I just got a book that might be more your speed, Jonathan. I'm going to read "Another Gospel?: A Lifelong Christian Seeks Truth in Response to Progressive Christianity&q...

Re: What books are you reading?

Finished reading Manhunt a while ago, great book. I am currently reading Witness to an Era, by D. Mark Katz. I just gotta say that one of the reasons I frequent this thread is to get book ideas, and I am liking your taste. Gotten ideas from Laurie and Catspaw too. edit--And in keeping with the thre...

Re: Unpopular AIO Opinions

-The Rydell Saga is one of the most disappointing sagas in AIO. I genuinely don't believe that's an unpopular opinion and I share that one with you. They built up so much hype and deflated it so quickly. It may be my least favorite saga because of how convoluted and strange it became because of the...
