Re: Arrow

I just finished Season 1 on Netflix. Very well put together show. I'm looking forward to catching up on the second season. What a way to end the first season, though.

Re: Agents of SHIELD

So Skye isn’t bad then, right? We were just supposed to think maybe she was because it was like ‘Uh oh, she has an ulterior motive for joining them’ but it turned out to be so she could find her parents. Is it? I don't know if I trust her, it seemed a little too much like she was trying to make Cou...

Re: Agents of SHIELD

I get what Hall was trying to do, even if it was the right thing (stopping the gravitonium) executed the wrong way (killing people in the process). I just wish there had been a better way to stop it instead of Hall getting sucked into it. But then again, I can't think of any other solution. Well, t...

Re: Sports Discussion The Good The Bad And The C'mon Man!

That Eagles/Redskins game was ugly. It could have been a blowout, but RG3 managed to come back in the end and, if not win, even things out a bit. If Eagles keep up this pace, they might make it to the playoffs again. Though, now that everyone's seen their playing, it'll be interesting to see how the...

Re: Doctor Who: The First Twelve Doctors

I think there is a conspiracy against me enjoying any 6th doctor episodes. Netflix has none on instant, and Big Finish has a free audiodrama available with Colin Baker, but it is only him on the phone, and I could hardly distinguish his voice from Peter Davison. ...next to which Jon Pertwee and, odd...

Re: Football Pool V

Why did I pick the Steelers? I was 80% sure Titans would upset! Oh well. And now it looks like Eagles will upset too. What's with all the upsets this week? If it wasn't an upset, it was a near shave.

Re: Lost souls? More like lost church.

@Astronomer Yeah just like how the father turned away the Prodigal son, only the son who stays and works hard should be allowed to stay. That's not what I was talking about, sorry to be so unclear. I was speaking more along the lines of a son who says, "I'll go work on the farm. I'll tend the ...

Re: What is the last movie you saw?

Beowulf. Good movie, so close to being perfect. Not for kids, obviously, but it just needed a little bit to push it into the brilliant zone.

Re: Lost souls? More like lost church.

I think the spirit behind this letter was correct (don't come to church if you aren't going to commit). Though there is a group of people that come to explore Christianity, which definitely should be allowed. The ones who should be 'got rid of' are the ones who claim to follow Christ and yet do noth...

Re: Doctor Who: The First Twelve Doctors

Knight Fisher, I would watch some of 4's middle stuff. Pyramids of Mars, The Ribos Operation, The Pirate Planet, any of those are pretty good. In fact, most of the Key to Time series (Season 16) is really good. As for 2, most of his episodes are all based off one theme: base under siege. And most of...

The Hunger Games after which I decided that the book was better.
Before that, I watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame which was a brilliant movie. Wonderful! Now to read the book.

Re: I think too much...

I once read a theory suggesting that, according to everything we can account from the gene pool, there would have had to be at least 10,000 'original' human species. I don't know a whole lot more than that, however, though it definitely merits further study. That's true, Jelly. :-k Now I need to go...

Re: Can unsaved people get into Heaven?

If people who have never heard of Jesus get into heaven based on their ignorance, then the worst thing we can do for them is seek to evangelize the world. We might as well never send missionaries to foreign countries where people have not been exposed to the gospel, because to do so would be to rui...
