Re: Hamilton

I got to watch it live in London last year, and it was a great experience! Was feeling moved to tears by a few of the more powerful scenes (you guys know which ones... :p ) I managed to miss out on all the Hamilton hype for so long, but one day I sort of absently played the whole musical while worki...

Disney's Artemis Fowl

This is all going in a spoiler. :mope: Well. I mean. I can't say I'm surprised, I'm just disappointed. It feels like Disney just doesn't understand what people actually like about stories. In this case, I can only assume they thought people liked the part where it was set in Ireland*, and the faerie...

Seeing this comment made me feel a little sad for what could have been... :( Let's see if the new Netflix show can redeem the idea of live-action Avatar.

I'm listening to the Artemis Fowl books on Audible, and it's a pure nostalgia rush. They're as good as I remember too! \:D/

Re: Summer 2020 Plans

my biggest plan is to graduate and get my bachelor's :anxious: after that, start making some money, apply for jobs maybe in london or dublin (but that depends on the whole virus situation), bike around the country a bit, maybe go to the gym (:mecry:), and hopefully make it to berlin and maaaaybe to...

I haven't noticed any issues myself, though I got an error when I tried logging out the other day. But by then I was logged out so I didn't care. :shrugs:

Re: My Health

It's nice to see posts from you again Mountain_Girl! I remember seeing you posting a lot around Gower's Field, a few years ago.

I will keep you in my prayers, that sounds so incredibly difficult to manage, between the pain and the side effects. Thanks for sharing all that with us.

Re: Dune

I read the first book a good few years ago when a good friend recommended it to me as a classic. I finished it, but I don't think it was for me... Something about the world, or maybe the writing style, just didn't really grab me. I can definitely see the allure though, the worldbuilding is fantastic...
