Re: Unpopular AIO Opinions

Anyone who liked the splits want to explain? No judgement, just that as someone who decidedly didn't like fall 99/spring 00, I'm genuinely curious what you guys see as the pros here. Basically what Bob said. Also, for me, I think I was the right age to enjoy the split episodes when they came out. T...

Re: Cruella

Hm. This looks terrible, and I will not pay money to see it. However... if it eventually becomes available as part of a regular Disney+ subscription, I might have to watch it to see how, exactly, they justified creating a prequel starring a puppy-killing villain.

Re: Disney+

I would only be paying for my one ticket at the theater, the streaming price is over four times what that would have cost! Granted they're pricing the stream assuming a family is going to be watching together, and so attempting to offset multiple lost ticket sales for that viewing, but even conside...

The US price is increasing $1 a month or $10 for a year on Friday. And we don't get the new content. Thanks for sharing this, bookworm! We'd been subscribing to Disney+ on a monthly basis for a little bit, but we decided we enjoyed it enough to get the annual subscription before the price went up. ...

This thread reminded me to check for Cosmic Crisps when I went shopping yesterday, but they don't seem to have them at my local grocery store. :( I'll have to try to keep an eye out for them at other places!

Re: What was the last TV show you watched?

Ooh, fun! \:D/ I'm currently watching Falcon and the Winter Soldier as it airs on Disney+. I've also been watching Heartland when I want something playing in the background while I work on other things. I think I'm on Season... 13? Whatever the last season is on Netflix.

So that got pretty dark.
The shot of the bloody shield at the end was grim. Can't say I was expecting that.

Re: Loki

Yeah, I didn't really care that much about the show until the trailer came out, but now I'm looking forward to it! Some of the dialogue/situations reminded me of The Good Place, which I love, so I'm hoping for good things from this show.

I'm sure everyone who's been watching is already checking, but just fyi there were two post-credits scenes on the last episode. Watched the finale earlier today. Wasn't bad or anything, but it was almost too predictable. Like I was expecting some big twist but it just sort of had a normal-ish (as mu...

Sounds interesting! I've never heard of them before, but now I'm curious to try one! It looks like they sell them at Acme, so I'll have to check the next time I'm there. I googled a few pictures of them, and visually, they resemble a cross between a Rome and a Honeycrisp. How would you describe the ...

I kind of wish they had released the last two episodes at once. It was good stuff, but definitely just felt like a buildup to the finale.

Re: What books are you reading?

Just finished Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn. It was an epistolary novel with a conceit that every time a letter of the alphabet falls off a sign in the town, the residents have to stop using the letter. Fun concept, but probably only something I'll read once. Now I'm reading A Conspiracy of Kings by ...

I kinda just assumed Agnes was really Agatha Harkness the whole time, but I realize Agatha Harkness isn't exactly a household Marvel villain name, so... Yeah, that's why I've been avoiding reading about the show online. I figured elements of the storyline were guessable if you knew the comics, and ...
