835 & 836: David and Absalom

What are your thoughts on the first part of the new two parter? I really enjoyed it. I've read the story a few times, and remember hearing about it at church a few times, but it's not that popular of a story and it's great Odyssey is doing it. The Tamara part was handle nicely I suppose.... I wonder...

Re: 832: Your Honest Opinion, Please

Can someone explain how in the world this episode fits in with "Like Father, Like Wooton"? Wooton /LOVES/ clowns. He had a Aunt who was a clown. Probably was the wife to his uncle that scarred him for life.

Re: Sir Buddy's Snowy Day

I think calling it a rip off is furthest from the truth. The only similarity is the episode title. There is a /reference/ to Snow Day via the trash can lid and Gumpers (?) Hill. But that's called a reference/throwback, not rip off. Anyway, my brother and I found Eva's conversation incredibly awkward...

Re: Passive-Aggresive Prayer Requests

Lol, I never realized this was cut down, I just thought nobody cared. Makes sense, seeing how obnoxious SS is.

I'd like prayers for anyone on the SS, clearly they don't know what the Freedom of the Lord is.

Re: Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix

I'm so glad you enjoyed it Catspaw. It's definitely a series that has to grow on you, but luckily the characters are pretty easy to love. And I'm excited for the next season as the books themselves got better after the first four. =) My brother who has read the books actually missed the plot twist (...

Re: FDA says love isn't an ingredient

I know a salad dressing maker at my local farmers market that lists love in their ingredients (or used to). I wonder of they heard about this story yet. =p

I watched random episodes here and there as they are recommended on Youtube. I love magic and card tricks so they are great. Especially the comedy ones. =p

Re: Odyssey + the Real World

While at a farmers market, I overheard two adults (and not young adults either) talking about listening to the radio while commuting. They both said they liked this "kids show that played at 4:30" and one said "Odyssey!" I nearly cracked up knowing what they were talking about. xD

Re: Dated episodes

We do if we have seen Wreck-it Ralph. \:D/ There's the obvious mentions of pagers (which I still have no idea what they are), "cellular phones", computers that sound like dying factories, etc. But in general I've just accepted they take place years ago, not today. I suppose that's not the ...

Is it a general rule that other people can respond to questions people ask you? Or is it just the usual for forums of know-it-alls? O:)

What all special characters do you have? Do you have any of the weird statistic symbols that are difficult to find?

I thought there was a difference between Anglican and Episcopal because of the whole gay bishop thing, but maybe that's just US vocabulary.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

From a pure human perspective, having the Jedi fail right after Luke started them again is not very surprising. The Jedi order was completely messed up during the prequels, as they let their political ideologies confuse their moral and religious teachings. I believe it is assumed Yoda and Obi-Wan gr...

Re: Life, life

I just completed my busy day of performing. I had a guild audition this morning where another piano teacher assessed my play of 7 memorized pieces. Then tonight I had my first piano recital. I was super worried about them but I survived with a whole lot of prayer. It was fun. \:D/
