Re: Dawn of Justice

Yeah, I agree with you. I'm definitely interested. But wary at the same time. I'm one of those people who absolutely loved Christopher Nolan's Batman. So I'm automatically going to be very critical of anything that deviates from that Batman. So, yeah, this looks like it has potential, but I'm predis...

Re: Dawn of Justice

This doesn't give me any better of an idea of whether or not I'm going to like the movie much. I didn't care much for Man of Steel, so this will have to be extremely good in order to give me any hope that DC can produce something that will even begin to rival what Marvel has given us.

*cough-cough* That's why bookworm's talking about "the first sequel" not the second one. I thought it was pretty clear that he was talking about #2, not #3. =P

@Marvin: I'm fairly lazy, too, so I'm probably not going to give you the response you wanted, but I'll give it a go. =P I thought there was very little childish humor in this season, as compared to other seasons. Maybe I've just started tuning it out, but I don't think so. And I certainly think ther...

Re: The Ties that Bind

I can only speak for myself, but I'm not complaining that the tension wasn't resolved so much as I'm complaining that it wasn't resolved well . It felt told rather than shown. If Olivia goes on a life-changing RoC experience, I want to see it and find out how that changed her perspective, not simpl...

Re: The Ties that Bind

My lengthy review of Album 58: My goodness, this album was good! I even venture to say that this album is the best since the relaunch. I hesitate to say that, because there were certainly episodes that I very much enjoyed in the seven albums that have preceded this one. And there are even episodes t...

Re: The Ties that Bind

Another thing this album lacked was believability. Ms. Adelaide specifically. Her actions were unbelievable, to say the least. Her brother's illness explains her tolerance campaign, but I don't know any English teachers who would hire a gang to vandalize Whit's End because the owner wouldn't hang u...

Re: Scriptural Evidence

Can something be beautiful and false? Very valid point. I think the word nice would have been a better choice. However... why do you believe it's impossible to have a beautiful concept that's false? I mean, it's a beautiful concept to Muslims that their afterlife consists of endless bliss and const...

Re: Scriptural Evidence

Hmm. I suppose I need to word this differently. It is a beautiful concept. That fact gives it validity in my mind. Obviously no one would have suggested it if it were preposterous. However, it has no support from Scripture, therefore all I can say is that it's beautiful, not that I'm going to accept...

Re: Scriptural Evidence

In the discussion of theistic evolution Christian said that it sounded nice but couldn't be trusted/believed in because of no scriptural support. I said no such thing. I only stated a fact: It sounds like a beautiful concept, but there is no Scriptural support for it. I made no statement about my a...

Re: Sovereign Grace Ministry & The Gospel Coalition

I've been keeping up with this a bit, and I honestly don't know what exactly to think. I like a lot of the guys in TGC, and I especially like Tullian Tchividjian. I really don't think he would have responded like he did if he hadn't seen a real problem. It does seem like SGM was at least a little ne...

I actually saw that video a few weeks ago, totally unaware until the guy actually said it that he was giving a description of moms. I thought the video was very well done. I definitely made my mom a card. ;) And she loved it. ^_^
