Has anyone else seen the trailer for the newest game yet?

I'm pretty excited for it, because we finally get to meet Sonny Joon!

Re: ToO Birthday Bash Cash Giveaway Extravaganza!

The generosity of bookworm knows no bounds. \:D/

Happy birthday, ToO! Even though I've only been a member for about a year and a half, I stalked the boards religiously for several years prior to joining, so this really feels quite momentous.

Re: The Giver

I literally just read this a few days ago. One of my family members bought it and it showed up on my Kindle, so I decided to go for it. =P I didn't even know they were making a movie until I looked it up afterwards. I really enjoyed the book, so hopefully the movie will try to live up to that standa...

Along the same lines, let's not forget that somewhere out there, there are a bunch of programs and devices with the Whisperer's birthday as the password. \:D/

Re: Odyssey passwords

I know AREM gave out an awful lot of passwords, but I can't remember what all of them are. A couple more from the Novacom saga are "redherring," "butter," "bluegill," "milkandeggs," "triumphant," and so on. I think a couple of those might actually be...

Re: What Not to Read

I'm shamelessly bumping this thread because I have another book to add to the list. \:D/ I read The Fault in Our Stars a couple days ago, and I can't remember when I was so disappointed in a book before. It came highly recommended by people who normally give good recommendations, but I honestly can'...

Re: Noah

Believe me, I know. My respect for Ken Ham and the person who posted the article is pretty low. I just meant that his article made made me actually want to see the movie, instead of just being indifferent about it. The fact that he hates it so much without even seeing it makes me think it might just...

Re: Noah

I wasn't really interested in this movie one way or the other until I saw a hyper-conservative Facebook mom post Ken Ham's official warning against the movie. Now I'm intrigued. :-

I think the reference is to Seth Young in the episode "All Things to All People" where he tries to minister to a bunch of guys through playing football. :)

Re: BBC's "Sherlock" Series

Am I the only one who's been really disappointed with Series 3 so far? :anxious: 'The Empty Hearse' was fun and everything, because we got to see all the characters again, but I feel like 'The Sign of Three' marks the second episode with no cohesive plot. The mystery elements of the episodes felt li...

From the information you mentioned, it sounds like you're talking about the two-parter "The Pact." Those are the only episodes I can think of that fit your description. I hope that helps!

Re: I Love You

However awkward saying "I love you" may be, we can always fix it by tacking "as a brother/sister in Christ" onto the end. \:D/ But yeah, unless it's within a pretty specific context or something, I would personally find it rather awkward. :- Someone who's less reserved than me co...

Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to do NaNo this time around. I wish I did, and I'm almost starting to rethink the decision, but NaNo really just isn't an option this year. :( However, since the last three years I've done NaNo have only yielded one finished novel, my plan for this year is t...

Re: Life, life

So, at work on Saturday, Sparrow came into the market from helping with the hayrides and said, "I'm about 99% sure that Jason from Tenth Avenue North was on that hayride." So we got all excited and stuff, but she didn't actually want to ask the guy about it. So I snagged another coworker w...
