Re: Random Tidbit Discussion Thread

Canada's lowest recorded temperature is as cold as the surface of Mars! I don't understand how this can be possible with the difference in atmospheres, but apparently it's true . I'm not a geologist or astronomer. (The linked article is not about the same incident this tidbit references (which was ...

Re: Shazam! Fury of the Gods

It seems I never posted my thoughts on the first movie because no one took over last post in the thread.

Re: GameBot in the Chatroom

I have two new game plugins to announce! The first is kind of a joke, but it is an actual functioning game if anyone wants to play it. I've created a version of the reaction game Bop It for some reason. I have no clue why the idea to do this came into my mind, it's so dumb, but once I had it I reali...

Re: sketchful.io (online pictionary)

Funny but sad story from one of the games I played a while back: The round starts and the artist quickly draws a banana. Everyone in the room immediately enters banana. Nothing happens. We all start second guessing our spelling and the chat is flooded with everyone trying every possible combination ...

Re: James Webb Telescope

Thanks for posting Steve, I had thought this subject should probably have a thread made about it but hesitated to start one myself because I'm really not knowledgeable about this new telescope or what its doing. You're right though that it's probably sufficient enough to just say it's pretty cool, b...

Re: Andor

I don't know if it comes across in the teaser but in promotional materials they are really emphasizing that this is a spy show. That interests me, as a continuation of trying to expand Star Wars stories into different genres, like how Rogue One had a distinct war movie feel to it.

Re: Announcement: Bren and bookworm continuing as admins

To be clear about the situation, the B Team term has concluded, Bren and I are simply being kept around for now as assistants to Catspaw to hopefully help make a few fun things happen over the next few months rather than have the lull which usually accompanies these empty terms. :)

Re: Summer Celebration: ToO Game Night!

We're gonna have another go at this. If you're reading this post, please reply if you would attend one of these events if the scheduling worked for you - that is, could we plan on having you come in general , are you personally interested in the idea. If yes, please include in your post any known da...

First Term Reflection

I feel compelled to give a reflection on my first term as an administrator since that's such a meaningful event for a board member, especially one who has been a part of this community for as long as I have. This term has been a truly surreal experience. It took several weeks after I joined the team...
