Re: Life, life
Well hello from South Africa, everyone \:D/ I haven't logged on here in forever, it seems like. I'm currently taking a gap year before starting college next fall. I spent this week in London, before continuing on to Cape Town, South Africa yesterday. I'll be here for the next few months living with ...

Re: War Room
We saw it in theaters on opening weekend. Technically speaking, everything was right on. The set design, costumes etc. were really great (better than Courageous, definitely). The acting was pretty good too. No cheesy lines stood out to me or anything :P Story-wise it was good, but I felt like the sc...

Re: What books are you reading?
Ooooooooooh. That does make sense. (sorry, I'm not the best at interpreting books. :P Plus, it was the last book I had to read for the school year, so I may have skimmed. :- ) Thanks for changing my interpretation of it. ;) Heh, it happened to be the last book I had to read for the school yea...

Re: head transplant?
Right, as I said the wording is misleading. This would be more correctly described as a body transplant. It’s for someone who has a functioning head, but needs a new body to put it on. So you, the head, are still your consciousness, just on the former body of someone else. So are we (as in, whoever...

Re: head transplant?
So, if you had a head transplant, who are you? The person who's head was given a different body, or the person who's body was given a different head?
If this catches on there will definitely be some ethical questions raised..

Alas, Babylon. Aside from some rather disappointing typos it's an interesting read. Oooh, Alas, Babylon! That was an interesting book...it took me a while to understand what was happening, but it was a great book nonetheless. ;) I don't remember any typos though... :/ What did you think of the endi...

Re: 2015 Spelling Bee
There are also two younger brothers of past champions in the semi's this year: Jairam Hathwar, younger brother of 2014 co-champion Sriram, and Srinath Mahankali, younger brother of 2013 champion Arvind. There could be a first-ever Spelling Bee dynasty family this year. Personally, I'm pulling for Va...

Re: Fears
My two real fears are failure and needles (which makes for an interesting paradox when I have to get a shot- do I face the needle, or chicken out and "fail" :P ) Now, to join the above conversation: I would probably try a (fully cooked) bug if I were in a place/culture where it was a norma...
