That's awfully bizarre, but I can't get over the hilarious hipster filler text in that article.
Also, I noticed the link to the previous article; thanks so much for posting our new Oddcast episodes, that's really cool! Also, really quick work, I just uploaded that episode last night!

Re: What's been happening in Odyssey since the reboot?
Yeah, Bernard had a single line in a Kids' Radio episode (Pinocchio: The Tale of a Foolish Puppet, Part 2). The line was lifted from By Any Other Name if I recall correctly. Earl Boen was also in it with a larger part, presumably as Edwin acting on the radio, and that was original audio.

Re: What's been happening in Odyssey since the reboot?
June Kendall was played by Maggie Malooly (still alive, as far as I know), not Janet Waldo. Janet played Joanne Allen and Maureen Hodges.

It's a UK thing. I also learned it from the episode, only a few months ago.Catspaw wrote:I've never heard Pentecost referred to that way before, but hey, fun trivia! Top clearly buys superior calendars.

Re: Happy Whit Monday, everyone!
Those with the OAC will note that John Avery Whittaker, or "Whit", as his friends call him, was given his nickname after Whit Sunday, among other things.
In "The Journal of John Avery Whittaker", we see that Jack Allen, on the first day he ever met Whit (May 14th, the year Whit was 10 [probably ...

Re: 30th Birthday Bash
Yeah, this is patently ridiculous. Perhaps though, as you guys pointed out, the fact that this is clearly a Focus-centric event means that there will still be a regular Live Show performance apart from the cruise. I feel like it makes sense. Thanks, Dan, for giving us memes to express the absurdity ...

Re: Adventures in Oddity
Very cool! For someone who grew up listening to audio dramas as a kid, I have a weird aversion to audio books, but in this case I will make an exception. \:D/
I've never met anyone else who doesn't like audiobooks before, so it's nice to see someone agreeing with me!
However, I think this one ...

Re: Adventures in Oddity [new book]
Oh good, seems the audio company let them do the voices after all! For obvious reasons, getting someone else to play these beloved, professional voice actors would be ridiculous.
Obviously a lot of audio books aren't read by the authors, but in the case of it being about voice actors that would ...

The Oddcast did a review for the book, then we interviewed Katie and Will about it (as well as other things) in August, where they first talked about the plans to make this audiobook! Check them out!

Re: Spotting (or hearing) AIO Actors
So I was in Disneyland at Christmas, and the trams to and from the parking structure have their safety into as Corey, doing his BEAVRS voice. He's also Yensid for various VO stuff there, obviously, like he is in Kingdom Hearts. Earl Boen was doing a country voice narrating the Disneyland train.

Bart knows that he can get Rodney to do quite a lot for him before he actually decides to disobey, even when he doesn't want to. The Popsicle Kid and The Living Nativity kid come to mind, though Rodney will snap eventually, like in A Cheater Cheated.

If he gets sick, he'll just stay at home and have Rodney nurse him back to health while Doris runs the store.
