Re: What books are you reading?

Finding Me - Viola Davis :inlove: This caught my attention for a second until I realized that I thought it said Viola Desmond, which would have been a more obscure choice, particularly for a non-Canadian. My bad. ;) https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/viola-desmond that was actually a...

*dripping in FOMO* Jelly <3 that's right, drip in FOMO :x and come visit Europe :noway: That sounds fun. I've missed Mercy around here. it really was! and it helped that it barely rained! That means you all were like 4 hours away from meee!? Looks like you had a grand ol' time. \:D/ why didn'...

The meetup (photos) you never knew you needed!

Hello fellow ToOers \:D/ Even though it's been quite some time since I've been as active as I was, I always stayed in touch with a couple of ToOers here and there over the years. Last month, I flew back to the States from Amsterdam after almost 7 years to spend a week in and around D.C., together wi...

Re: Places You've Lived

so i was born in the caribbean, a small island called bonaire, and then i lived in the States for a bit: upstate NY in a tiny tiny village in the Adirondacks, a small town in North Carolina close to Durham, and then in St. Petersburg, FL. then i spent most of my childhood in Ghana but we'd go back t...

Hello, everyone! It has been a very, very long time. It looks like the last time I was here was 2015! I know some of you probably don't know who I am, but I roamed the ToO all throughout my formative teen years. I didn't know at the time, but this place offered me solace in an abusive envir...

Re: Ask the American Eagle!

you should! although i fully realize that it's a privilege to afford being able to travel overseas, and that it's often cheaper to fly around within Europe, but it's definitely worth it if you ever get the chance. you should check out jack's flight club, that's how i found tickets for around $250 to...

i was born to catch flights, not feelings :noway: but seriously, i think traveling is probably what i find the most rewarding! and now it's also nice to see my parents. well, i can sleep alright at night as long as i shower right before bed and go in front of the fans, but in the day it's really war...

Re: When do you start listening to Christmas music?

this year i've really not felt christmas music. i only listened to some at the airport before flying over to ghana, and that was primarily so i could control when i first heard mariah carey re-emerge from her cave and play "all i want for christmas is you" on MY OWN TERMS. but beyond that,...

i'm back in ghana for the first time in 6.5 years...and it is HOT. i don't know how i spent almost 12 years here and took warm showers. probably didn't help that i came from 0 degrees in amsterdam and today it was 34 and even now at almost 9 pm it's 28 degrees, but still :anxious:
