Re: Life, life

My cousin had twins a week and a half ago, a boy and a girl, and today I got to see and hold them for the first time! And naturally, when I held them they were fussy but when Mom held them they were nice and calm and peaceful.

Re: Adventures in Odyssey Headcanons

So did I. And all I can say is wow, and you get all the win. A couple more of mine, for kicks: Before Dalton Kearn’s arrest the only people who knew where Leonard Meltsner was were Eugene, Katrina, Whit, the local police – and Millie Shanks. Leonard and Millie met when the latter showed up at Eugene...

Re: Adventures in Odyssey Headcanons

^Are those headcanons Album 29? Because they've just been signed, sealed, and committed. \:D/ You're a cheeseball. Ingress, are you writing (a) fanfic(s)? Is that why you have so many Meltsner/Novacom-specific headcanons? Sadly, no; I have the ideas but they don't form full stories. The closest I'v...

Re: Adventures in Odyssey Headcanons

My apologies beforehand, but all (or nearly all) of these will be Meltsner/Shanks-family centric. Katrina's two brothers are named Gideon and Nathaniel. Gideon was a gunnery sargeant in the Marine Corps who was killed in action in Afghanistan, while Nathaniel worked for Galileo Enterprises and barel...

I was reading Concealed in Death by J.D. Robb, but I took a break to read Big Jack by her instead.

Re: Who should Jason marry?

I don't think that Jason should marry anybody, at least not right now. I don't see it as a direction that his character needs to head in.

The part iI want to see is with the spiders. And Smaug Will be pretty cool. And I think hes going to be red.Has any one seen the old cartoon ! Yes I have, and I love that old Rankin/Bass film. It was pretty much my introduction to Tolkien; without it I would never have read the book of The Hobbit o...

Re: Just Where Did Tom Put That Cummerbund?

*grins* The tuxedo shop scene is one of my favorite parts of "For Better or For Worse". I also love Bernard's remark about feeling like an "oversized Oreo cookie" in his tuxedo, followed by Eugene's "No comment." As for Tom's cummerbund, I think he probably put it aroun...

Re: Prayers for my grandmother

I'm sorry :( I will continue to pray for her. Is she a Christian? You know, now that I think about it I don't think so, or if she is she just doesn't attend church anymore. I can't remember my dad ever talking about going to church when he was a kid and the only time he goes to church now is at Chr...

Re: Prayers for my grandmother

Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate it. The stroke she had was a pretty rare one (called a "Pons stroke"), and from the sound of things she's not going to get much better. My dad and a few of his siblings met with the doctor this morning and according to him she's only got weeks left. I'...

Re: Spotting (or hearing) AIO Actors

I was watching "Garfield Petforce" and Audrey Wasuluski(sp?) was Arlene and I was really surprised because I had watched it before and I did not recognize it. Audrey Wasilewski's been in a couple commercials recently, too. There's one for Prego pasta sauce where she portrays a Ragu sauce ...
