Re: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

My reaction might be an outlier, at least partly based in lack of interest in caring about the DC universe. There's a lot of stuff to watch, and this just doesn't look that great to me, but I'm also not at all invested in the characters or connections.

Re: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

I'm pretty meh on DC and have only seen a few things here and there. I saw Aquaman a while back and wasn't amazed. It was fine, just not enough to make me want to invest in the universe. I watched the trailer to see if it might change my mind, but I think I'll just stick to not bothering. ;)

Re: Catching Up

Hey Jonathan! Great to see you around. I'm not that much help because I have a Club subscription (though like you, I also have a CD player in my car and prefer to listen that way), and I have always meant to listen to the Club episodes but still haven't. :anxious: I can say that there have been some...

Re: What books are you reading?

I hope the book is just what you're hoping for, Laurie!

I'm starting "Inventions of the Heart" by Mary Connealy. The first one in the series was kind of meh, so I'm hoping this second one in the series is better.

I'm enjoying the end of summer, spending time with family and friends and enjoying the nice weather. I've been working on a puzzle that I am making extremely slow progress on - really exciting stuff. ;)

Re: What books are you reading?

I'm reading "The Element of Love" by Mary Connealy. The start of the book didn't really impress me but once I got into it, I got more interested. Her books are usually pretty good. This might not be her best but still good.

Re: National Treasure: Edge of History

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I haven't gotten around to watching it yet and probably won't any time soon. For me it's on my "sounds interesting enough to add to my watchlist but not ever interesting to click play on but not bad enough to take off my watch list" list. ;)

Re: What books are you reading?

How is the prequel series? I liked the original series and the Netflix show but haven't read the prequel series. I'm enjoying reading it. All the Wrong Questions series is basically a mystery book series, with a 13-year-old Lemony Snicket as the main character, it also includes appearances of other...

Re: What books are you reading?

I'm starting The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict by Trenton Lee Stewart. I somehow missed this series for years, but now that I'm finally reading it, they're some of my favorite books! (I opted to read the main series in order and save this one, the prequel, for last, even though that'...

Re: What books are you reading?

I'm about to read "The Lazy Genius Way" by Kendra Adochi. I heard about it and thought it sounded interesting, but not interesting enough to pay money for. ;) Luckily, my local library has it, so I reserved it and it was in for me to pick up today.

Do you want to explain your username, in case anyone who doesn't know you from the Chatroom is curious? :) It's from the initials of 'bright and yellow spot in my pantry' (from Wooton's Ode to Macaroni in Odyssey Sings!), because Macaroni has been one of my nicknames since I was a baby. Re: What books are you reading?

I want to check out the Young Whit books sometimes just for fun, so thanks for sharing about the audiobook in the club, Patterson! I might give it a try. You sound like a big Star Wars fan, so I know you have good taste. I'm starting "Fairest of Heart," the latest from Karen Witemeye...
