Re: Questions for Catspaw

catspaw, if you were going to go out and get yourself a burrito for lunch today, what would you get on it? Great question! I don't usually have burritos because I do not care for spicy things (even things other people say aren't really that spicy) so I would evaluate all the options and then get th...

Re: The Little Mermaid (2023)

Yes, the Beauty and the Beast one did add a new song. I had thought they might use some of the Broadway version songs, which are awesome, so I ended up disappointed on that front, but the new song they added was pretty good.

Re: The Little Mermaid (2023)

This definitely gets into the plot a lot more. i haven't seen the original in so long that I'm not the most reliable source, but it looks like there will be more stuff with Prince Eric and his castle/home in this version. I could be wrong.

Re: WHY IS THIS PLACE SO DEAD!?

I think that's a pretty good assessment of some the reasons there's less posting on the ToO, Bob. I see the appeal for parents to have a fully moderated forum for their children, and that just isn't the ToO. I'm glad that is an option for those who want that, which wasn't the case back in the day as...

Re: WHY IS THIS PLACE SO DEAD!?

On the plus side, this thread does seem to attract traffic from people who don't post very often. ;)

Re: 3-14

Woohoo! The wonderful yearly event has finally arrived! \:D/ No pie for me today, sadly, but I did read my nieces a book called "More Pies!" by Robert Munsch and we talked about how yummy the pies are that my mom (their grandma) makes, so maybe that counts as celebrating.

That always pays off when it comes to movies being made from beloved source material, so raise those hopes even higher for extra awesomeness!

Re: What books are you reading?

I'm starting "In Honor's Defense" by Karen Witemeyer. It's the third book in her Hanger's Horseman series. The first two were great, especially the second one. It's a trilogy but there's four main guys in the group, so the second book had two different (very connected) storylines and it wa...

Re: The Super Mario Bros. Movie

It was Mario (Mar10) day yesterday, so I guess it's time to get excited. ;)

I love the music in the trailer. I'm still not sure how good this movie will be, but it does look fun.

That sounds like company-speak for "people liked it too much so we're stopping it." ;)

Re: Haunted Mansion

When I saw the title of the thread, I see to recall you saying you liked Haunted Mansion. I haven't seen it and I'm really not that interested, but this does look kind of fun! Owen Wilson seems to be all in on the Disney stuff.

Re: Peter Pan and Wendy

I just saw this trailer the other day and thought it looked good. I hadn't heard about this at all and suddenly it will be out soon. I like Peter Pan (not love, but like) and this looks like it might be a nice version. Some of the racist stuff in the animated version looks like it has been corrected...

Re: What books are you reading?

I love historical fiction too! I enjoy contemporary books, but I often find myself reaching for a historical book first.

Re: What books are you reading?

I've heard good things about Nicole Deese books but haven't read any myself yet. It's good to hear you enjoyed her book so much!

I'm starting "The Heart's Charge" by Karen Witemeyer. I always enjoy her books!

Re: Ant Man and The Wasp: Quantumania

I saw it this weekend and it was fun. I don't think I missed anything because I haven't seen Wakanda Forever yet. I enjoyed the movie and certainly laughed (especially when my brother called one of the funny lines out loud seconds before the character said it, making us laugh extra hard) and was mod...

Re: What books are you reading?

I'm starting "You're Only Human: How Your Limits Reflect God's Design and Why That's Good News" by Kelly M. Kapic. I saw it recommended somewhere (I forget where...) :anxious: and it sounded really interesting.
