Re: Big Hero 6
Gahhh I freaking adore this film. :inlove: It was so beautiful and cute and perfect. *squees violently* The bad thing about seeing this movie: I desperately want to have a big, huggable Baymax of my very own, and I can't have one. :sniff: I feel the same way. :( He was so adorable and fluffy, and I ...

Actually this film could not come at a better time. Now that The Hobbit trilogy is over, I need something else to look forward to.

Yeah I'm not sure why he needed so much screen time. I felt like he was only there to demonstrate how base and terrible human nature can truly be, which seemed kind of pointless after a few scenes....
But can we also talk about Bilbo's reaction when he meets Thranduil in the tent?

Re: The Hobbit: That Christopher Tolkien Did Not Like
Oh, I will gladly elaborate. \:D/ Well sort of, I still can't quite put all my feelings into words. Despite the main plot line that I quite frankly despised... A love triangle? Really? >_> I wanted to throw up when she kissed Kili at the end. Like, a kiss on the forehead would have been marginally t...

Yeah, after all the drastic changes, I'm curious to see how Peter Jackson brings it to a close.

I like binge-watched the first five seasons, and I'm in love. What a brilliant tv show! I love Shawn and Gus, but I'm even more fond of Lassiter haha. I just love him.

So I got my hands on the extended Desolation of Smaug , but I haven't had time to watch it yet. :( On another note, have any of you listened to "The Last Goodbye" yet? It's the end credits song by Billy Boyd, and I'm going to be a sobbing mess by the end of The Battle of the Five Armies .

Re: Doctor Who Series Preview
I still can't form coherent thoughts about this finale, other than to say it was freaking brilliant. This was by far some of Moffat's best work, and I don't say that lightly. I have been highly critical of much of his work because I have often found it to be ridiculously complicated in order to hid...

Re: Doctor Who Series Preview
I think I understand where you're coming from, and I agree it's at least an improvement over the tiresome "IMPOSSIBLE GURL" arc last season. However, quite frankly she has started to annoy me this season, with "Flatline" being a notable exception. I don't like it when she tries t...

Re: Doctor Who Series Preview
Wow, so that is easily one of my favorite episodes ever. \:D/ I was so happy to see Clara go back to being awesome and inventive instead of annoying and sulky, and that line at the end, "Goodness had nothing to do with it," was phenomenal. What a fabulous episode. Humorous, clever, terrify...

*somewhat unrelated* Aeva, have you read Uglies, by Scott Westerfeld? It's a fantastic Dysto-Fic. Uglies is actually the series got me into Dystopian Fiction back when I was 12 or 13, and I've loved it ever since. I have not, but it's on my list. \:D/ However, I did read "Unwind"...

Re: Doctor Who Series Preview
Clara deciding to continue traveling with the Doctor. I was honestly hoping for a companion-only episode next week. Unfortunately, it looks like it'll be another Christmas Invasion , with the Doctor still being around. I've always wanted to see a companion on her own. Alas, maybe someday. That's a ...

Okay, so "Mummy on the Orient Express" is going down as one of my favorite episodes ever. Easily the best of this season so far, imho.

<r>I'm super excited. <E>\:D/</E><br/> <br/> The whole idea of The Hunger Games was just meant to be a movie, imho, and I think spreading it out and deeply exploring the themes is a good thing. I have really come to love dystopian fiction and the way it explores (and even twists) our preconceived no...

Re: Doctor Who Series Preview
I have to disagree with you on this one, Aeva. I think the ambiguity of the monster is exactly what fuels the tale. Because you really don't know what's under the bed. And perhaps we never will. I am of the belief that something may in fact come of it. But the way that you really don't know what th...

Re: Doctor Who Series Preview
"LISTEN." My thoughts on this episode are kind of complicated lol. While watching it live, I was on the edge of my seat and pretty much spazzing, but then after the fact, after I started digesting it, I think it had much more potential than what was actually delivered. I mean, I got seriou...
