Re: Eastern Orthodox Denomination Q&A

So, you have elaborated and called a well-respected lawyer from a great country cheap, second-rate, etc. I can't help but wonder if you'd say that to her face. It's like you completely ignored the part where I said "without referring to any particular individual..." I have no idea who she...

Escape Rooms!

Hey guyss, I'm opening an Escape Room facility in my small Canadian city. \:D/ For those of you who maybe be curious, we've launched our website and teaser video the other day. Now we have a rough idea of what we're doing, but there's still room for lots of little puzzles to be figured out and desig...

I start with my middle finger. For some reason people get offended by that. :(

Re: Eastern Orthodox Denomination Q&A

And whatever you heard sounded plausible enough that you believed it? If some radio hack claimed that Stephen Hawking was a Baptist minister, would you believe that too? Name calling=not good. Definitions of "hack" as graciously provided by Urban Dictionary: A cheap, mediocre, or second-r...

Re: Eastern Orthodox Denomination Q&A

Why is Janet Parshall saying things that aren't even remotely in the realm of truth? If I were you, I would find a new source of Christian "news" or whatever it is that she does. Or do research for yourself for goodness' sake.

Re: Eastern Orthodox Denomination Q&A

Isn't Richard Dawkins an Anglican bishop? Seeing as though we were discussing theological wealth. Um, no? edit: looks like there's a quote from Dawkins about being a "Cultural Anglican," referring to his nostalgia for some of the Church's aesthetic elements and traditions. Here's an idea:...

Re: US Election 2016 General Discussion Topic

The only thing I really watch on YouTube lately are the daily clips from Late Night hosts reporting on Trump shenanigans, and it's some of the greatest entertainment ever. I'm personally in no hurry to watch this end. \:D/

Also,

If some big shot producers asked you to direct a new Godzilla reboot, and you could set it in any country in the world, where where you shoot it?

Re: Spider-Man Homecoming

There was this great fan edit of Spider-man 3 that pretty seamlessly removed the Sandman story thread, as well as a number of other cringy moments, and it did a great job of suggesting what the third installment COULD have looked like. I mean the movie still has some fantastic moments, particularly ...

Re: Eastern Orthodox Denomination Q&A

Nope, no significant difference. I think there were a number of individual parishes in the US that chose to split off around the time Gene Robinson was ordained and call themselves "Anglican" in an attempt to distant themselves from the US Church, which might be what you're referring to, b...

Re: Eastern Orthodox Denomination Q&A

We just call it the Anglican church here in Canada, but yeah, essentially! My parish actually has quite a number of young people, and as far as I understand there's been something of a small resurgence across the country largely comprised of millennials choosing to trade in their evangelical experie...

So at my Church, there's a few liturgical aspects that involve sprinkling of Holy water.

Not quite like this, though. :0
