Re: Cheese
Cougar Gold gets my vote for best cheese ever. It's a sharp white cheddar made by Washington State University. It's stupid expensive but it's sooo good. I read something once that said they use apple juice in the process of making it!
Checks out, the same university spent years developing the ...

The pros outweigh the cons by far definitely, but I get the energy thing. I imagine most guys in their late 30s/early 40s are feeling the burn and are close to going full Joe Rogan with the testosterone cream or something.

Re: How is everyone doing?
I’ve been stressed gents.
Not too stressed honestly, but I’ve been making big life moves recently, bought two new cars, saved real hard and paid off one of them in a year, bought a house, having a child next year… it’s a lot.
Waiting until my 30s to do all of this was a solid move because I’m way ...

Re: The Little Mermaid (2023)
This movie is going to look sick in HDR, any of those really colorful joints like Spiderverse or Blade Runner 2049 look spectacular in 4K HDR, especially with the newer hdr10 and Dolby vision standards.

Re: Energy Drinks
I think the sugar is what’s the real devil when it comes to these things, the caffeine is fine, it’s not good of course as an addictive substance, but it is pretty innocuous for sustained use.
Probably best to avoid getting addicted to stuff though, but I think sugar is probably the most dangerous ...

Cherry Coke Zero.
Enough carbonation and caffeine to keep me going with that classic aspartame taste every empty nest mother in the southeast just can’t resist.
I have to consciously limit myself to like two of those aspartame sodas a day. It really is addicting.

I’ve been working as a scientist for engineering firms for the past few years and can confirm that engineers in general are a “fascinating bunch” they’re either egotistical cretins or the nicest people you’ll ever meet, there’s no in-between. Throw a little bit of social awkwardness in for ...

In my work bracket I unfortunately picked Perdue, but I’m somehow at the top of the standings still.

My video game backlog is more than I can possibly play in 2023 but I know I’m going to buy Zelda, RE4, Dead Space, and FF16 when they come out just off the top of my head.

I'm kinda shocked that the Damar Hamlin situation didn't generate some talk in here.
It’s very unfortunate what happened to Damar, but it’s one of those super rare instances that just happened to happen on the ball field on national television. I’m glad he’s okay now though, still not out of ...

Re: The Super Mario Bros. Movie
This movie is going to be fine. In my opinion it’s going to be a really fun movie just like most of Illumination’s stuff. The internet is weird about it because Mario is so beloved, but the reason Mario is beloved is not because of the characters or story, it’s simply the fact that they are an ...
