Re: What books are you reading?
Just finished Churchill and Orwell: The Fight for Freedom . If you're interested in 20th century history, I highly recommend it. I'm starting "Excavating the Evidence for Jesus" bu Titus Kennedy. Should be a good read! That looks promising. When you finish please post whether you'd recomme...

Re: 10 CD Collectors Edition
I'd like to know that as well. I remember this coming out way back when, but I can't find info on it on aiohq or the odysseyscoop. It must've had a short release run.

The Music of The Underground Railroad
I'm a musician in my free time, and ran across something cool while listening to The Underground Railroad tonight. Composer Antonin Dvorak wrote his Symphony #9, "The New World", in 1893 while traveling to America. He wanted to use part of the symphony to touch on the issue of slavery, and...

Re: Catching Up
Thanks for the input all, I think I'll do the idea of getting a one month subscription once a year and catch up. In any case I've been bitten by the bug again, so to speak.

Catching Up
Got a question for people still listening to the show. Here's the deal; when the club came out, I was decidedly not happy about it. My car has a CD player, I wanted to buy albums and listen that way. What I didn't want to do was pay a monthly subscription fee. Didn't take me long to break down thoug...

Re: How is everyone doing?
Jonathan, that sounds like fun! I know someone who lived in Japan for a year or two and she really liked it. I was traveling with someone who lived there for a year (and knew the language, thankfully) who really liked it too. I have another friend who lived there for a year who also really liked it.

Re: How Do You Earn Money?
I’ve been working as a scientist for engineering firms for the past few years and can confirm that engineers in general are a “fascinating bunch” they’re either egotistical cretins or the nicest people you’ll ever meet, there’s no in-between. Throw a little bit of social awkwardness in for go...
