Re: album 55

If you look at the artwork in the magazine, it looks like the person is holding a liquor flask. On top of the article title "The Strain," I'd wager we'll face an episode dealing with alcoholism and its destructive effect in Vol. 55.

Re: New album cover artwork?

Thanks Regis for inviting him. On the subject of the Twists and Turns cover, though, did anyone find it funny that they caught on that he fell through the 2nd story, not the 1st story skylight, and yet, they had him fall into the Bible Room in the picture, instead of the office? Artistic license. A...

Re: New album cover artwork?

I sometimes sketch what I think will be good album repack covers, and I chose the same scene for Vol. 23 (A Victim of Circumstance), but I showed it from a low angle looking up at Rodney falling instead of a high angle. It's funny that Gary put Jason in his NSA suit; so did I! I hope these are all a...

Re: Album releases - your opinion?

Don't hold back, Peachey, tell us how you really feel! I certainly wouldn't call this the Dark Ages of AIO; the writing, the acting and especially the production have been pretty good lately; not incredible, but good (I've only listened to the first two episodes of GRC so far, so maybe there's some ...

Re: Album releases - your opinion?

I miss the days where everyone was kept in suspense as they aired the episodes once a week. It spawned much interesting speculation and conversation on this board, which has been lacking for the last couple years (as Laura started by pointing out, nobody talks about it anymore, because the answers a...

To our Canadian friends, the album is up for pre-order at Amazon, at a distressingly high price. That had better go down before October.

None. He started with 36. For Volumes 1-35, he's only done repack art.

Re: New album cover artwork?

Funny, I just hopped on Tyndale this morning on a whim, but Reddo beat me to it (you night owl, you). The Blackgaard cover looks horribly preliminary. Really? The biggest classic saga in Odyssey is being released, and all we get is a standard cover? I don't think so. FotF marketing knows better than...

Re: Father Gilbert Mysteries

If you count The Play's The Thing, Parts I & II as two separate mysteries, there are ten in total, and each averages just a minute over an hour long. For those who haven't heard them before, Tyndale is rereleasing them this fall. I can't recommend this package highly enough.

Did my weekly Amazon browse tonight, and it's up now; grab it to guarantee that minimum price of $24.64! Vol. 54 still isn't up, though.

I have been planning to buy this set since I first heard about it! \:D/ I own all the episodes, but that didn't stop me from buying the Novacom set, and I haven't regretted that choice. The Novacom bonus disc is totally awesome, and the packaging was fun too. I recently listened through the whole N...

Good grief, no. Remember how I don't like chocolate? But it is fruity and delicious. Whit should make this the official recipe for the WodFamChocSod, everyone would like it better.

Now that I have a laptop, I listen more from iTunes itself than my iPod, but... Re: Everyone's Wod-Fam-Choc-Sod

I altered the recipe a little, to improve it. I didn't have any club soda, and don't like chocolate, so I replaced the chocolate ice cream and syrup with fruit punch. Then all I did was replace the whipping cream with ice cubes (homemade ice cubes), and voilà!

They need fries. What good is a chocolate milkshake without them? :noway: In fact, in the episode Broken Window , Alex mentions that he threw a french fry at Rodney, and it landed in his chocolate milkshake. So, only two sentences apart, we learn that Whit's End serves your favourite combination. E...

Re: Episodes that make you cry

I cry at a lot of media. It's sort of intentional; I want and allow myself to be in a characters shoes, or in the fictional world, and I open myself up to feeling as if I were there. I get a lot more out of an episode of Odyssey when I'm emotionally linked to the characters, so episodes like Greater...
