Re: The First US Presidential Debate Discussion

Haha, that's the downside of being the leader of a nation. You have to rearrange your priorities, which I am sure the President was well aware of when he originally signed up for the job. ;)

Nevertheless, the award goes to Al Gore for his altitude theory. \:D/

Hmm, I wanted to see this show but was out of town when it aired. Unfortunately, it sounds like it isn't living up to expectations. :(

Re: The First US Presidential Debate Discussion

I think the lesson to be learned here is that the only really effective retirement plan is to found a solar panel/wind energy company, get the government to inject a few billion, and then quietly skip out to the Caymans before the IRS shows up. Anyways, I watched the debate. I really, REALLY didn't ...

I tried watching this on the airplane last week, but fell asleep.

I can never usually sleep on flights, so I have the movie to thank for that. ;)

Baragon is being enigmatic again. :(
But they are nice glasses, so whatever...

My current glasses are called "Tina Fey" for reason which probably don't require explanation. ;)

My memories of Disneyworld Florida are pretty nonexistent though I have purportedly been there or something.

My first car was a navy '02 Chevy Impala named Mondivarious. I loved that car and still miss it.

Re: I was watching the Democratic Convention this evening...

Ability to make a speech is a big plus factor for any candidate, but what really concerns me is whether the candidate actually DOES anything based on these lovely speeches. And sadly, with the state of American politics as it is, the answer is generally "no." So speeches really don't impre...

Re: Your top 5 favorite bands/artists of ALL TIME

Aww, Kait, I love that you listed Josh Groban, good memories - I met him some years back at a concert *le sigh*. "Per Te" is probably my favorite song of his. :) I'm more of a song person than a band/artist person, but if I had to make a list on the basis of artists who have a lot of songs...

Ayn Rand all the way! (and not in the Paul Ryan sense, either). :noway:

Though, it looks like I'll need to check out this Clint Eastwood business - I've kind of been tuning out on the whole RNC. :(

Sherlock, you're closer to the border than most Americans. Come and taste the goodness for yourself! ;) Hmm, good point! Re: Attention Span

I am the extreme opposite of ADD. I can focus on a single task and tune out absolutely everything else until that thing is done. Doesn't matter if it is in the middle of a quiet room or a busy coffee shop, on a bus, whatever. The downside is that my brain tunes out everyone and everything else and i...
