Re: Study Abroad
I did during my MBA! In my case, it was just a summer exchange, but I spent two amazing months at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. It was one of the best decisions I ever made (and also probably a huge factor in my choice to travel the world right now) and I can't recommend it enough. Did ...

Re: Gone Travelin'
Thanks for the sub!
And I'm already thinking there's quite a few album titles that will go nicely with the trip ("A Passport to Adventure", "Wish You Were Here", "Days to Remember" etc...). So yes, I'm sure I'll squeeze in some references for thetoo crew.

Re: Looking for a better "Family Portraits" picture
Oh no, no knock at all. It was scanned 15 years ago, and I imagine I thought it was high resolution at the time! ;) I remember it being a super process, because the plastic cover protecting the case is all warped, making it impossible to get a pristine scan. But I think the photo might work for you....

Re: Looking for a better "Family Portraits" picture
I believe that's my scan of Family Portraits! I don't currently have access to the album, but I will see if I can get my parents to track it down and at least take a high-res photo for you of the curtains, if that works?

Gone Travelin'
Hey everyone! I just wanted to give a life update and provide some details about what I'm up to. I recently resigned from my job (on April 1, of course, because I want to continue my tradition of making big announcements on April Fools day!), and I'm about to set out to travel the world in the comin...

Re: Log of site issues
I moved the Town of Odyssey to a new server. I've unfortunately also broken AIOWIKI and AIOSODA in the meantime, but thetoo.com is working and I will try to fix those other two sites later today/tomorrow.

I've made a few other tweaks as of 2 minutes ago. Please continue posting updates about downtime and I will continue to monitor the situation!

Re: Log of site issues
It's cheaper to keep them shared, as increasing RAM is an incremental cost and moving it to it's own separate server would actually force me to pay for twice the number of servers. I've checked periodically and I haven't had any high data usage and we're averaging about 70% capacity of RAM, which is...

Re: Log of site issues
As Snubs noted, please keep me updated how things run with the upgraded RAM. As for why that would fix the issue, I can't guarantee it will. However, aiohq.com, aiowiki.com, and thetoo.com are all hosted on the same server (aiosoda.com is on a separate server). When thetoo.com goes down, aiowiki.com...

Re: The ToO Turns Eleven!
An old friend of mine asked out of the blue how the town was doing and I said "Funny enough, today is the 11th Birthday!"
So Happy Belated Birthday, everyone!!!!

Re: Log of site issues
Sorry about the recent downtime everyone. I'm still not entirely sure what caused it, and my host wasn't extremely helpful (suggesting things that were completely unrelated)... and than it just started magically working again today. I will likely begin investigating moving the site to a new host in ...

Re: Questions for Catspaw
Haha, it's true. My hosting provider is forcing us to update our PHP because it's so old, so I moved it up one version and broke the page in the middle of the day on Thursday. The code that the Upcoming Birthdays module uses has deprecated and it's calling functions that no longer work, so errors we...

10th Anniversary and Special Announcement
Everyone, Today the ToO celebrates its tenth anniversary! I never envisioned 10 years ago that the board would still be around today, and I'm honored you have all enjoyed the board as much as you have. Friends have been made, fun has been had, and even marriages have been arranged. It's been an even...

Re: AIOWIKI Doesn't Work
Sorry everyone, I'm still working on the issue. Whatever causes the Town of Odyssey to grind to a halt is the same thing that caused Aiowiki to be slow. But when I turn off Aiowiki, the Town of Odyssey runs ok. I'm going to be going through the php code from the wiki today and see if I can find out ...

Re: Log of site issues
I've currently parked the aiowiki.com site which seems to be the root of most of the issues. Please keep posting here as you notice how things are going. I'm still trying to identify the issue but haven't been able to come up with much so far. I haven't been able to move the sites to a different ser...

Re: Log of site issues
Sorry guys, it was fixed briefly after I contacted Dreamhost and I assume it had been rectified and then was notified that it wasn't permanent and was just a brief fix. Dreamhost is going to move my sites to another server, though I don't have a time frame on when this will happen, but the issue app...

Re: Log of site issues
Sorry everyone, I'm working with Dreamhost to resolve. It's affecting the AIOWIKI as well. It seems to have started within the last week, and it's causing the server load to hit 100% for no reason. I will hopefully have it fixed soon.
