My Birthday

I was born on May 2, 1985... the only person in my family not to be born on a holiday. My mom was born on Thanksgiving, my dad on St. Patrick's Day, my first sister on Halloween, and my second sister on April Fools Day (I never let her live that one down, hehe).

The Impact Of The Media On Culture

Of all the ways people entertain themselves in this age, nothing affects them more than the media. Dictionary.com defines the word media as, “The means of communication, as radio and television, newspapers, and magazines, that reach or influence people widely.” This influence that the media has on u...

This Episode Made Me Laugh

I thought it was highly amusing how they found the Pearl, the drug plane, and had an encounter with the others all before the swan was even discovered. The minute Niki brought out the spider though, I knew they were gonna be stupid and bury them alive (which they did, of course). Also, if you watche...

Which Christian Artist Is Ministering The Best

Which Christian artist/group is minstering the best to today's culture/society  ? Not just other Christians, mind you :shame: , but to the secular world as well.

Cats!

Cats are not only easier to take care of and shed less hair, but they're also more safe for if you have little kids running around the house. Besides, who ever heard of a pitbull crawling onto your chest to cuddle... not me :shame: .

Donations Are Appreciated

I just joined this site and I'm trying to get my High School Diploma. Donations are greatly appreciated, so if anyone out there would like to send me some dollars I'd forever be grateful =D> .

International Cute Kids

I went on a missions trip to Southeast Asia and I got a picture of perhaps the two cutest kids in existence. :D

Can you post pictures in this thread? I tried copying and pasting the picture but that didn't work #-o ](*,) .

The Last Movie I Saw

The last movie I saw was "Stranger Than Fiction". It had an interesting plot, but I probably wouldn't have gone to see it if Will Ferrell wasn't in it.

My Finances

As with many college students down through the years, I'm poor and in serious need of cash for stuff like my car insurance (I need my car for my job). I have a job so I can earn the money, but it's really tight and I lose out on participating in many ministry opportunities simply because I have to g...

My Testimony

I was saved on July 22, 1997  , through a Vacation Bible School at my church. At first, I only accepted Christ because of how vivid the evangelist made heck sound, so I don’t think I was truly saved for the first year after “praying the prayer”. The year after I got saved (I was saved on July ...

Black Smoke Security System

If you remember from season 2, there were markings on the blast door map written as "cv1", "cv2", etc (I think there were 6 all together). I've heard from some people this stands for "cerebrus vent" (how the black smoke cloud has access to the surface of the island). Pe...

How Do People View You?

Think of your favorite color. Now think of how you feel when you're wearing the color. Adventurous? Confident? Smart? Well...

Chances are, that is the way people view you most of the time (one of my teachers posed that to our class, I'd like to hear if it works for everyone out there). :-k

Football and The Bible

I wrote this in a paper for a class in school and I want to get some opinions from other Christians out there and their thoughts on what I mentioned: Most people today seem all to willing to put anything God-related or church-related aside if doing so would benefit them in some way (however trivial ...
