As promised in the Trank platform, I am pleased and proud to present our first contest of the summer! Widely popularized as “the game of hilarious comparisons,” each round will consist of surprising and outrageous comparisons from a wide range of people, places, things, and events. It’s as easy as comparing “apples to apples,” even my great grandmother could play! Simply select the card from your hand that you think is best described by a card played by the judge. If the judge picks your card, you win that round. Everyone gets an opportunity to be the judge! 
Playing the Game
1. A judge will be selected prior to the beginning of each round.
2. I will PM each player, including the judge, 5 red apples.
3. At the beginning of each round, I will post the green apple in this thread.
4. All players except the judge will select 1 red apple from their hand (based on the green apple) and PM it to me. I must receive your red apple within 12 hours after posting the green apple; otherwise your red apple will not be accepted.
5. Once I have received all the red apples or after the 12 hour period has elapsed (whichever comes first), I will post the red apples in this thread.
6. The judge will select his or her favorite red apple (based on the green apple) of those played. The player who played that red apple will score one point.
7. All players must have 5 red apple cards at the start of each round. Thus, all players who sent me a red apple in the previous round will receive a new “card” from me via PM.
8. This process will repeat until we have a winner.
Winning the Game
The first person to earn 5 points or whoever has the most points on June 30th (whichever occurs first), will win the grand prize of $3000 and a personalized trophy! In the event that there is a tie, there will be co-champions and each will receive $1000.

Apples to Apples FAQ
This will be periodically updated as necessary.
Q: What are “red apples” and “green apples”?
A: A red apple is a noun, while a green apple is an adjective. Each member will receive seven red apples, or nouns, at the start of the game. Thus, the objective is to match the red apple (noun) with the green apple (adjective) posted at the beginning of each round. Remember, the judge may not always pick a red apple that may be commonly associated with the green apple. Quite often, the funniest or most outrageous match are selected by the judge. But not always.
Q: After the red apples have been posted, may I tell the judge which one was mine?
A: You are permitted to make comments about any of the red apples once they have been posted. However, realize that the judge may or may not pick your apple if you reveal that it was yours.
