The origin of your username

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

The origin of your username

Post by Jesus' Princess »

How did you all come up with your usernames? Are they your real names? Favorite AIO Character? Here's how I came up with mine, before I ever signed up I was thinking Daughter of the King, (I'd come on as a guest to see what it was all about) but then I saw that TKD had a very similar name and I didn't want things to get confusing, so I came up with Jesus' Princess. How about you?

My username comes from the Odyssey character. This was before The Green Ring Conspiracy, and I knew that names such as Eugene Whittaker had already been taken. I was trying to think of a little-known, yet well-known character.

Which reminds me, I was going to shorten my name soon.
It's been awhile, hasn't it?

A friend of mine nicknamed me Mimi once IRL. I liked it alright, so I used it here.
I'll probably change it eventually...

My name came from my dream job. I want to be a pastry chef, and mini-just fit with chef, so I put them together.

Uh...I ran spotlights for my church's huge Christmas play and all of the extras in the show had to come up with names for themselves, and greenringC (who I know in real life) said I needed a name. So... I said, "Hi. I'm Fred the Boring Light Guy." But then I decided that Fred was too stupid so I changed my name to Steve and the character lives on forever via real life and the internet. That was a lot of run-on sentence. Good thing my grammar final isn't until Friday.

I probably would have chosen a little differently if I'd gotten on later in life...but I just came up with one when I first started on AIO boards and just went with it since then. Pretty boring story...I played soccer at the time, and my favorite movies were (and definitely still are!) Lord of the Rings. Put 'em together, and you've got my username.

I wanted to have a username that was a precious stone. I figured that diamond (my birthstone) was probably already taken. So, I chose sapphire my mother's birthstone. And, that's how my username came into being. :)

I wanted something to the effect that I was a daughter of the King, I was deciding between Daughter of the King and The Kings Daughter, and I liked the second one because the 'emphasis'/first thing you notice is the 'King' part, before the daughter. :-

My username was inspired by Arem. It's my first and last initials MB spelled out. The reason its in all caps is because at the time I thought the name Arem was written that way. Plus I think it looks cooler like that.

Well- I had to switch computers one day because my Powerbook G4 was literally on it's last legs, so when I switched Dad gave me a suggestion for a name for the hard-drive: Scion. Well, when I looked up the word, it meant "Descended from a notable family or one with a long lineage". So when I joined the ToO, I thought that Light would go perfectly with Scion, so it just stuck. Not a huge reason for the name, but I think it fits me personally.

My name is Robert and from 2005 to 2010 I had a website with all my videos and creations called "Rob-os.com" (as in "Rob-o's" or "Robo's"), so on the machine internet I became known as Robo.

Iron&Light actually picked it for one of the random things she and Top did during the Iron Crusader term. \:D/ Needless to say, I liked it so much better than 'I_<3_Kaka' that I requested it be left, and here we are! ;)

My username originally came from years ago. Me and my sister were listening to one of the first adult Left Behind dramatic audio tapes, and it was after the rapture and people were coming home to find their families gone. And one boy comes home, called "Mom, Jennifer, Dad" and my sister thought he said "Shennifer". Later, that name would be a character in one of my stories. And that's how 'Shennifer' came to be :D

Don't forget that your name was originally "The King s Daughter", before I forced you to get rid of that awful spacing. :evillaugh:
