Summer Camps

Did you go to any?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

I misread the question at first, and voted "no". I thought the question was if we've been to camp this year. Oops!

I've been to camp a number of times.

I went to one camp for two weeks, first camping, then staffing, and I just got back from camping at another!

(Hopefully, next year I may have to vacate the ToO for the summer because I will, Lord Willing, be staffing all summer., )

I went to Pleasent Valley Christian Camp in July. That's the only camp I've ever been to. It was a blast!

I would say...yes. Go to summer camp. Or a summer camp. If you cannot make it to THE summer camp, then A summer camp is always good too.

(Not that I'm asking AIOP to start a Camp ToO or anything like that...*mutter mutter* :D )

I completely agree! Y'all should definitely go to THE summer camp. (If you want to know more specifically feel free to PM me.)

I've been to a week-long BJU summer camp. But that was a long time ago--when I was 7 or 8. I was really scared and didn't want to leave my parents! :mecry:

I go to my youth group's five-day camping/beach summer camp every August.

It's a beautiful time of hanging out, getting to know new people, playing games, swimming, and the worship/teaching/ministry times are always the highlight. God is so present at our youth gatherings, but especially when we're somewhere other than home. It's a wonderful time.

Same here...except I wasn't as scared. :)

It was quite fun when Watson's and my groups were on the playground at the same time. We went off and made up our own obstacle course while the other kids were creating a big ruckus.
