Music from the past

you know like the 40s 50s and early 60s.

Here's the place for discussing music, plays, YouTube videos, and any other media that doesn't quite fit in the other sections of Harlequin Theatre.

Post by Liz_Horton »

I would have, but they don't fit the time frame mentioned.. She said 40's, 50's, and EARLY 60's.. The Beatles were mid/late sixties through seventies.

Thank you Ziff. Your meticulous observation of detail is much appreciated. (Because I probably would have said the same thing had you not already mentioned it.)

Now if we're talking 60s-70s, the Beatles, totally. Otherwise, Elvis.
Um, I guess this is where I'm supposed to say something funny or interesting.

Glenn Miller might be a bit earlier in time than what you were looking for but is nevertheless worth a mention. Benny Goodman and Ray Charles also come to mind in the jazz category.

Finally, lets not forget Herb Alpert and his Tijuana brass.
