Bruce Day Interview

I Need Questions!

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

Bruce Day Interview

Post by Shadowpaw »

Hey all,

I'm putting together an interview with Bruce Day, the artist who originally drew the art for Clubhouse and Adventures in Odyssey between 1988 - 1991 (he is the one who always drew Whit with the red flannel shirts and grey sweater... he also gave Whit a thin look, rather than fat). If there are any questions you would like me to ask him, please post those questions here... the interview will be up on my site sometime this month :).

Ok well I will post first.

I woul d be interested in knowing how the first picture of Whit came about. Was he modeled after someone or was there just a picture in you mind and you knew that it was Whit.

Thanks so much,

JF aka Sarah

Is there a favourite AIO art piece that you created?

What is your opinion on the changes in AIO art that have occurred since you worked on it? Do you prefer the new look, or have a favourite "era" of AIO art?

What have you been doing all these years?

How long would it take to do a album of AIO?

How many drafts does it take?

How did you get involved with Clubhouse and AIO art?

Where did you get your inspiration for the characters?

Are you a Christian?

Do you get to hear the episodes before they come out? That way you get a general idea of what to put on the cover?

Thanks!

Do your model your drawings after a particular style or is it a mix of multiple styles?

If you go to www.OdysseyFan.com and click on "AIO Clipart 1" is a lot of that Bruce Day art? It's a nice gallery.

I don't believe any of that is Bruce Day's art :). He only worked with the Focus on the Family team from 1988 - 1990 and left shortly before the video series was created.
