I express similar sentiments as those posted by the user above me...
It was revealed at the end of the arc, that AREM was Mitch.

The question was not "Who do you think was AREM?" It was "Who did you think was AREM?"
I honestly had no clue... until it started becoming more obvious as the Novacom Saga continued.

Ah, I see now.
Not that I really put a large amount of thought into it, but I hadn't the slightest clue of who he might be.

So you lost your trust,
And you never should have.
No, you never should have.
But don't break your back
If you ever see this,
But don't answer that.

I'll be doing my best
I'll see you soon.

I kind of had a feeling it was someone tied into novacom in general, but I didn't think it was mitch because I thought arem was a villain.
I am the only one to blame for this
Somehow it all ends up the same
Soaring on the wings of selfish pride, I flew too high
and like Icarus I collide
with the world I tried so hard to leave behind

I heard only the first few episodes of the saga (before Mitch was introduced) years before I went and spoiled the whole plot for myself by reading all the summaries. I never really gave AREM's identity much thought; I just assumed it was a mysterious entity yet to be announced.
Everything written in this post is false.

I think I might have caught on that it was Mitch, but I actually spoiled it myself by listening *SPOILERS!!!!* right when he "died" and then it was revealed he was AREM and all *END SPOILERS!!*
Sorry. Had to do that. But, yeah, I caught on that is was Mitch. Though, at first, I was like, "Who the crude could be playing such a complex character? Could be ANYONE...."

I thought that it was that women, you know that came and fixed the lines. Not knowing at all who it could possibly be. After hearing it though, it would be funny if it was Richard Maxwell.
Peri: Do you mean the TARDIS is malfunctioning again?
The Doctor: Malfunctioning? [pause] Malfunctioning? MALFUNCTIONING!?

Some people think that... I won't mention anyone though. Man, had it been... That would just ROCK! Maybe... I guess....jasonjannajerryjohn wrote:I thought that it was that women, you know that came and fixed the lines. Not knowing at all who it could possibly be. I listened to Battle Lines first, so by the time I found out about AREM it was said that he was Mitch.
Whit: The Best is yet to come. (from "A Prayer for George Barclay" and "Gone.....")
Eugene: Impossible! Prepositions are not words that I end sentences with! (from "Poor Loser")
